The Sens weren’t very good either last night, generating just 2.19 xG for the game, so he stopped 1 more goal than expected, which is good, but hardly stealing one. Want to see a goalie stealing a game, look at Saros in Nashville. Flames generated 4.89 xG and he only allowed one. Halak, Bobrivsky, Vanacek, Swayman,and Oettinger all had better games. You’re so used to seeing terrible goaltending that average goaltending looks incredible

On a bunch of low quality shot attempts it’s not all that special. He had a good game. Not an incredible game like some people are making it out to be. Saros had an incredible game.

My fear is that we are close enough to getting in to the playoffs at the TDL that DA doesn't unload our soon to be UFA's and we fall off a cliff next year. We will be in for a significant stretch of brutal hockey at that point.
