pretty tough upcoming schedule
It is. It's also a good measure of where the team is from now until the TDL on March 3rd. If the team continues winning, we will be buyers, not sellers. If they fall flat, expect to move more people for picks and players with term. We're not rebuilding.

We’re not winning though…
We're 2-0 since trading Vladi. If we start losing after that, I expect us to be sellers.

Let's be fair, it all depends what we -get- for ROR, not just trading him. And if we're winning, Army's going to build up, not tear down unless it's necessary.
I disagree. We are in the Bottom 10 of the league, and 8 points behind the WC spot. We are in a worse position than when we traded Stastny and Shattenkirk. We need to retool. If RoR wants to return in the offseason cool. But we are not a playoff team.

Oh I know, we're kind of deep in the quicksand. But we got 29 games pick up 8 points and keep them. I have no idea where this season will take us but I know it won't be to the bottom. This team and franchise is very Last-Minute McGee so I expect to see a surge and we usually get one when we move someone.

If Army moves pieces to retool at the TDL, I don't see a reason why we wouldn't try to make a run, even if we fail. This franchise's money is made by making the postseason, so for them financially, that's the goal, whether we agree with it or not.

I'm curious what Army will do at this point. I'm not against moving anyone if it builds up, but I don't want to end up in that endless cycle of trading to improve and picks and just spinning our wheels.

Dude, there’s no chance we become buyers. We have a better chance of drafting Bedard than we do to make the playoffs.

We're to far out of a playoff spot. We may not be mathematically eliminated but we're very damn near it and if we buy anything Armstrong deserves to be fired.

Oh god, the old theme and Gary Thorne. As with most nostalgia remakes it absolutely, as you say, sucks ass.
The music and intermissions are aces IMO but good lord I despise that play-by-play announcer from last night. She's just unpleasant. There are some awesome female announcers in other sports and I welcome more but her voice just hurts. Buccigross isn't much better.

If ESPN even cared about NHL on ESPN, they would actually hire some good people. I mean one thing I do when I am travelling from 2nd job when I have to work it, I listen to NHL and listen to all the radio guys. There are a ton of good radio people and same with tv. But yet ESPN can't get anyone to do national.

This last night was by far worst ESPN game ever. Missing actions upward of 30-45 seconds at a time for different things and many other of the same complaints made by others. I thought going to ESPN may be good for the NHL, but I am starting to think it wasn't a good move.

If ROR hasn't resigned for a team friendly contract by the end of next week he's gone by the weekend. If he wants to be here he can resign in the offseason and do his team, and himself, a favor by getting us a return on him in the meantime. He also gets an opportunity to compete for another cup with a true contender team.

We’re not buying. Heck, we sold first 2 guys and won 2 straight. we deal next few we should be unbeatable.
Sir, I admire your logic :)

This team is gonna win 10 straight or something and **** this all up. Army will hold onto the guys and they will walk for nothing and we will miss on the last day by 1 pt.
This is what I expect to happen because this is what we’re good at. At worst Army will let this play out and make moves in the off-season.

We're 2-0 since trading Vladi. If we start losing after that, I expect us to be sellers.
We struggled to beat the 29th place Arizona Coyotes (who healthy scratched their best player for trade related reasons).

Then we convincingly beat the 19th place Panthers who started their 1B/backup on the 2nd half of a road back-to-back where they went to a shootout in the first game. It was also their 3rd game in 4 nights (in 3 different cities) and their 4th game in 6 nights. Last night was a schedule loss for the Panthers and they played like it.

4 points is 4 points and they don't ask how. But using these wins as a sign that trading tarasenko has reinvigorated the team is a big stretch IMO. Reinvigorated teams don't cough up 5-2 leads in the final 10 minutes against the Arizona Coyotes.

I’d look at the depleted blueline for the answer to that. We have no answers there and Army needs to fix it.

We still beat them and the fact is how many goals given don’t matter as long as we win. We’ve had several games even at full strength like that where we get lit up but still take it.

Florida was pretty bad in this game but they did have some decent chances at times.

People won't remember this, but I do because I was sitting on the glass for it, but the first game of the 11-game streak during the Cup season the Blues beat Anaheim 5-1. And after the game there was all this raving about how amazing the Blues were. In all of my years watching hockey, and I recall being at a 7-1 home loss to the Ottawa Senators once (a week later the Blues traded for Gretzky), I have never been at a game where a team quit on the ice more than the Anaheim Ducks and their 13 shots that night. Ironically before that game the Blues were one game below .500 after a lazy Kyrou penalty in the second period helped lose to the Kings two afternoons prior (Kyrou healthy scratched the remainder of the season).

This season is too far gone, but I don't think a lot of things would have to break the Blues' way for this team to make the playoffs next season.

Finally watched this one, that was fun. We got lucky that FLA was wiped out and that are D for most of the game seemed to play some defense.

Let's go lose 10 in a row, don't give Doug hope now Blues!

Berube used a different scheme with Kyrou adapting to it fairly well in that one game.
