Last year we at least expected to be bad and boring team that had upwards to 4-5 legit AHLers playing in a single game.

But to bring some solid NHLers in, natural progression from Bedard that you’d expect, and to look like this…. just yikes.

A much more frustrating situation this year compared to last year.

None of those vets that were brought in are solid by league standards. I know many here love TT but he has always been overrated by Hawks fans. Smith isn't bad as a 4th liner, Bertuzzi is a journeyman and Brodie is finished.

Well the easy answer is they don’t even care if their fans can watch the game. They’re purposely bad again. So what difference does it make?

They're effectively signing guys for multiple seasons with their AAV's, if these guys were on league min salaries like they should be maybe you would get better efforts, but they're being paid way over market rate for whatever reason, vibes or something IDK...Kane wasn't good enough to retain because he would take away from the kids and their ability to grow as leaders so we turned around and made Foglino captain and signed a million vets this offseason, the ultimate test for this FO will be how they build on the prospect pool they have because its easy to be dogshit and pile up draft picks, its another thing to build a team and culture again
