Just woke up and turned the game on - has it really been this bad?
 
Everyone on this team should forfeit their game check - absolute no shows.

But to bring some solid NHLers in, natural progression from Bedard that you’d expect, and to look like this…. just yikes.

None of those vets that were brought in are solid by league standards. I know many here love TT but he has always been overrated by Hawks fans. Smith isn't bad as a 4th liner, Bertuzzi is a journeyman and Brodie is finished.

They effectively added Hall too. I’m not saying they should have been a good team, but this is embarrassing for guys who have been in the league this long.

Well the easy answer is they don’t even care if their fans can watch the game. They’re purposely bad again. So what difference does it make?


Not defending it, for the record. I’m not even sure firing him to go to King again solves anything.

They're effectively signing guys for multiple seasons with their AAV's, if these guys were on league min salaries like they should be maybe you would get better efforts, but they're being paid way over market rate for whatever reason, vibes or something IDK...Kane wasn't good enough to retain because he would take away from the kids and their ability to grow as leaders so we turned around and made Foglino captain and signed a million vets this offseason, the ultimate test for this FO will be how they build on the prospect pool they have because its easy to be dogshit and pile up draft picks, its another thing to build a team and culture again
 
2 dreadful periods by the Hawks forwards.

8 shots on goal after 2 periods.. Unacceotable.

The excudes:

...the boys out late last night in the L.A. night scene?
...they cannot handle afternoon games?
...they cannot play more than 29.monutes a game?
...they just stink?
 
Folingo shoots the puck and then drives the net to clean it up. It's not hard boys.
