Campbell has been completely amazing, Matthews, Tavares, Marner ... do something, please show something. I know it's Hedman and McDonough and Vasilevski but at least try something creative for once

They've all been poor, but Matthews on the season is producing the worse of them all. Sending him down to the 3rd line for a night is a kick in the ass that has turned the season around for underproducing superstars in the past.

Your right to support whoever you want and disagree with whomever, but the people your disagree with have the right to their opinions as well

I wrote a much longer response but my phone reloaded the page before I submit and I lost it. Anyway coles notes.

- I agree, everyone is entitled to their opinion and nothing I’ve said says otherwise
- I take issue with someone saying that I’m a fanboy simply because they don’t like my opinion
- I have zero issue with benchings and demotions temporarily, but I do have a problem with witch hunts.
- those claiming Matthews play is dragging down the other forwards are absolving the other of their poor play
- I don’t support picking one star from the group, who imo has not been the worst of the group, and singling him out when they all have been poor (marner and Tavares have been dominated too)
- Matthews has been poor so far and needs to get on track, but he’s not the only one

Games like today show why we’re not a contender

when the best goalie in the world is playing up to that level, cute plays and over passing will never beat him. No clean shot beats him except maybe one from Matthews or Ovechkin. You need to crash the net and go for deflections and rebounds. Ugly, simple, yet effective hockey. This team doesn’t do that

Exactly. Lots of skill. Plenty. But soft as butter. They want to win pretty far too much. Sure they'll generate chances and win games by scoring a lot. Come playoff time? Hmm.

Every Leaf except Matthews-Marner leaving it all on the ice now. What more can Keefe do when his two "superstars" can barely play even-up with Correy Perry-Maroon? It's this type of game that these guys are paid to step up to put us over the top.
