Precisely. I was just a kid when I wrestled to the finals in a school tournament. cried in my corner after being beaten by the 12 point (I think) mercy rule.

My coach told.me, " you didn't give up, we make champions out of you! zyou have nothing to cry about, get him next time!"

A year later, same wrestler, same tournament. Nothing else was in my mind but revenege I got it via pin.

A personal.story maybe, but it's done endless times in the NHL. Being beaten like a rented mule generates hate for the opponent. Far better for this team to have this hatred tern to underestimate them in game one.
