Why the hell are we playing a defenseman who couldnt cut it with the Oilers?

Percy/Loov are upgrades over this guy.

one thing that is kind of annoying me lately is Babcock's line decisions...like for me I would've stacked my 1st PP unit with the kids..but he starts with Boyes, Greening and scrubs. like come on, play the kids more IMO

Yeah but I don't think there has been a coach in existence that doesn't do that.

I really do think he should put the Nylander/Kapanen/Hyman line together.

Corrado for me at least moments where you can see there is something to work with if you can reach what's between his ears, Marincin on the other hand is just awful. There just isn't much to work with there skill wise.

Both of these D are good fill ins or complimentary players. Expecting them to go against the likes of Stamkos or Jhonson is asking too much

Corrado's had good moments this season .. Marincin less so

Yeah not sure where the hate is coming from. He's been solid since getting minutes. I like what I see. Ceiling isn't overly high but I think he can be a decent #4-5 while we rebuild.

Marincin has been incredibly frustrating to watch. He's good on the PK because of his reach and strength but his puck skills are not NHL quality at all.

I think Leipsic would be great on the 3rd. line, away from the best checkers and going up against 2nd./3rd. pairing defenders.

An energy line that can accomplish something.

I've been a big proponent of having 3 scoring lines, and a grind line. Love the idea of Leipsic-Kadri-Koma forming a 3rd line that can score and forecheck.

I agree.

Leipsic is a bottom 6/energy line guy. Him, Hyman and Komarov would be a great 3rd line next year.

It's these inconsistency that will be his demise. He shows up for 5 games and few games he doesn't.

For a center he doesn't take control of the ice. Even Holland does a good job of holding on to the puck

Are you kidding me

Analysts and announcers need to stop comparing guys to players like Trottier and older. Happens every game. Like I'm 33 and I've never seen these frigging guys.

Considering all the kids in the lineup, new faces, and the obvious lack of cohesion, it's been a fairly close game.

Nylander, Kapanen, Hyman, and Soshnikov have not looked out of place.

Dubois is super interesting. A center that big and skilled could very well be picked much higher than people anticipate. He's having a great 2nd half.

I don't know what you're talking about. Sure he does lose the puck but more often than not it's because the opposition is in the process of getting a high sticking penalty or a trip. Kadri's pretty good at the cycling game and has the ability to hold lines even when he's off balance.

Holland has been the definition of meh. He scores....sometimes. He makes plays....sometimes. He has a great toolset but rarely applies all of it in a consistent manner.

I was about to say the same thing. I am in my 50's and I have seen them play, but those comparisons are hardly catering to the current demograph.
