This is a better AHL-Team with goaltending-issues....

Nothing more at this point.

If we dont get some bodies back soon and solve our problems in net this will get real ugly pretty soon......

Another pointless game where Bednar runs the top guys into the ground. There was zero chance to win this one.

Get rid of Shittington and de Horrible asap.

Yeah does Bednar hate Annunen or something

All I can say is that Bednar absolutely adores Georgiev and cannot stop playing the guy no matter how he performs. One can hope that even Bedsy has had enough.

My God people where do y’all get these narratives. He’s made it clear that the net is Annunen’s to lose and the only reason he started Georgiev was because it was a B2B. And he literally brought in a brand new goalie yesterday. Just because he’s trying to massage egos doesn’t mean he “adores” Georgiev.

Yep, I loved that. If Stienburg can be that guy who brings the pain and doesn’t get stifled in Bednar’s system he’ll be a phenomenal add to the 4th line.

I would still like to know why was Georgiev dressed instead of Annunen. Maybe the latter wasn't feeling well, ok fine. But as it stands, don't like it.

And you can read between the lines from Parkkila's interview that he wanted to play Annunen much sooner, but Bednar wanted to go with Georgiev so that's what happened.

Not going to make any judgement on KK, he was thrown into the deep end
I will. He was f***ing miles out on the first two goals at least. He looks like he has the same Fourgiev problem of not being fully in control of his limbs. He looks a bit bigger and wears a proper goalie number but that's about all he has going for him.

We know damn well Steinburg is going to continue to get 3-4 minutes per night moving forward. Bednar doesn't like this player. He doesn't like any players from the AHL. He loves to run his stars into the ground.

Mack - 24:58
Rants - 24:37
Mitts - 21:39
Makar - 25:30
Toews - 23:36

This drives me absolutely nuts. The game was lost early, it is an eastern conference opponent, you're already banged up, and it is October... there is zero excuse for him running these guys into the ground last night.

I disagree that he doesn't like players from the AHL.

He doesn't like players who won't play their role(s) within his system. Which would likely still lead to what you said above, but I believe the distinction is important lol.

For his 4th line, specifically, he seems to want guys that will work & skate hard. Guys that will hound the puck, be physical, but also not harm the team by going out of position to make a hit, or playing lax/poor defensively, etc.

Basically he wants to be able to have his cake & eat it too, and there's just not going to be a lot of guys who can deliver that consistently, least of all on our team where we have a poor track record of developing our own players to fit these types of roles.
