Seriously... straight up fire some coaches. :laugh:

Hire one who will play Cossa, I don't wanna see Lyon/Husso again if the Red Wings are gonna suck.

What an absolute dumpster fire this season is turning out to be
I feel like we've run out of flow chart:
1) Is the team winning?
* If yes, SUCCESS.
* If no, go to Question 2.

2) Is there at least noticeable improvement from last season?
* If yes, PROGRESS.
* If no, go to Question 3.

3) Has the majority of the new core of young players joined the NHL roster, shown flashes of impressive play, and just needs time to hit their stride?
* If yes, HOPE.
* If no, go to Question 4.

4) Has the rebuild just started, so the team is building a war chest of prospects and cap flexibility?
* If yes, PATIENCE.
* If no, go to Question 5.

5) Do you have a friend or relative on the roster or otherwise employed by the team?
* If yes, KINSHIP.
* If no, go to Question 6.

6) Welcome to APATHY.

I wish this was Talbot being preserved for a trade and therefore not practicing. Then the tank could begin in earnest.

Alas, doesn't appear to be the case. I bet this nags him all year and won't be able to deal him at all, a la Mike Green.

Was it a plan from the beginning to keep Cossa in GR and ride with him majority of games

I thought so, and Yzerman has been against yo-yoing guys in the past because he wanted them to focus on their game. I thought Lalonde mentioned it in an interview after last season that there were a couple of guys who just weren't going to be brought up because of it.

The Wings bringing Cossa up makes me think they're looking at next year and wanted to get a real gauge on his readiness.

Add in Cossa always seems to take some time to adjust to a league change and excel. A few cups of coffee this season may help shorten this expected adjustment next year.

I would hope he gets a few games in the AHL to see if things have slowed down for him after a week with the big club and some in-game action before the next trip, but it is SY’s and Newy’s call, if they bring him up, play him.

He'd be claimed no??

We should have dealt talbot before his ... gonna be 38, only downhill from here lol

There's no re-entry waivers anymore, that's been gone since 2011 CBA. If Campbell or Husso actually perform well, they can be traded instead of waived when Talbot returns.

I would assume teams are only interested in Lyon and Talbot.

Ya Talbot and lyon wijld be the one teams would want just figured if there was waivers someone would take a flyer at Campbell maybe cause his contract is peanuts

A risky but good move, most likely he will be an EBUG for a game, best to let Cossa get some games in with the Griffs. Lyon is expected back for the game after the Leafs, so there is still time to make a switch if they want if Lyon or Talbot still not quite ready next week and Jack looks shaky in practice.

If Jack does get into a game (he is backing up Husso) and looks OK, awesome, he becomes a potential "ride out the season" or trade option if the wings come off the wheel and they trade 2 or 3 goalies at the TDL.
