Yeah I was rooting for them to make it but from my limited viewing it appears their offense has dried up an Werenski has run out of gas.

They have proven again that they can't outscore being bad in their own zone and bad at the blue lines. Think of Tage's recent ENGA causing one-man efforts at the blueline where he over handles and causes a turnover that winds up in their net. He does that at times 5-on-5 and while his tracking back into the d-zone has improved, it's far from playoff team calibre.

The Hawks won multiple cups with Patrick Kane. You can certainly build a playoff caliber (even cup caliber) team without every player being a well-rounded two-way force.

Man, it’s gotta suck for him and Dahlin to have the seasons they did and have it result in nothing for the team. We really gotta get these guys some proper support or they’re gonna be the next to demand trades, and then we’ll have to re-re-re-re-rebuild.
