I know the shot totals suggest otherwise but I didn't think the Pens played a bad game. The Devils are a bad match up with their vastly superior team speed.

Pens gave themselves a chance which is all you can really ask of this team against the top teams in the league.

I feel like Sully told the Dmen before the game to keep their sticks down near the crease. That was a sorry display just letting the little devil forwards doing pirouettes in and around the blue paint. I haven’t watched them play that passively near our goalie in a while.

Why the f*** is Tomasino on this team? Is Phillips busy? There isn't one single thing that Tomasino does better than any of Puljujarvi, Puustinen, Ponomarev, Bemstrom, or Koivunen. What's that common denominator there?

His speed is ok, I question his vision and decision making. But we gave up a 4th, so if he doesn't pan out we didn't give up much.

Good, we need more results like this. This winning streak isn't what we should wanna see. Finishing 17 OA as opposed to say 25th OA isn't a positive.

We played them close. That game was up for grabs but ultimately the better devils team prevailed.

This game highlights something - if the team wants to compete, like legit compete, they need an upgrade at 2nd line wing. It makes sense to keep Raks and Rust with Sid but they really need someone to finish with Malkin. Tomasino seemed like the answer but who knows.
