Man our PP is so horrible. Bad drop pass approach kills the momentum every time. Then you have unskilled players on PP1 with Kaderli and Graf. They need to force Reber, Steiner, Braillard and Johnson there.

It's amazing to me that almost all national team fans have some very strong opinions about roster selection and player use that fans of other nations can see and also wonder about. We all have it and it seems like the federation folks are just stubborn about their selections.

Canadian fans for sure this tourney. Czech fans too.

I do wonder what I'm missing or misunderstanding when I bitch about the Czech roster.

Most years there is some grumble for the US too during selection. Edit - let's not forget the years of Monten as HC for the Swedes too. It's interestingly pervasive to all of the national teams.

He's looked so good in what I've watched in this tournament. Getting muscle mass has done him good (yes, yes, that's obvious) but seeing him tie up his check or push through when being checked is impressive.

Oh, and now a goal.

Another rather horrible Swedish third period. They simply cannot be focused when in a big lead.

Still amazed that Axel ”the Flash” Hurtig and Dennis Altörn are on the team. The latter has not been bad, but not stood out either. But why bring an extra grinder instead of an offensively skilled forward you can use/try when offense is not clicking? Like Frondell for example.

That was actually the ”Swedish” way a good while ago , but recent years grinders earn the extra spots. Not liking this.
