Canada's defense is bad. If we play the US for gold, I'm not very confident.

The U.S. has looked like the most complete team in the tournament.

Canada hasn't been punished for it yet, but they've been very prone to some egregious defensive zone play.

Winning teams will be reseeded for the semi-finals in accordance with the following ranking:

1. higher position in the group - EVEN
2. higher number of points - EVEN
3. better goal difference - Canada +2 before the game
4. higher number of goals scored for - Canada + 5 before the game
5. better seeding coming into the tournament (final placement at the 2021) - USA

Canada have defensive issues but with Greig I still felt they looked promising to win gold. With him out they lose one of their best defensively helpful forwards along with his offensive abilities. This would be back to back tournaments losing one of their best forwards.

We didn't play as bad as people are talking about here, yes the D has been suspect but they had plenty of pressure on the Swiss , the Swiss had to work really hard in their own end that period.

According to wiki, everything gets redone before the Semis.

If the Canada - Swiss game were to end at the current score, the U.S. would have to beat Czechia by 5 to finish 1st - and face Finland.

While the U.S has certainly played well they also haven't played a good team yet , the Finns, with all their warts, have been far better then Sweden this tournament.

I didn't think they were very good offensively in that sweden game, they should have scored a couple more goals at least against them, they had quite extensive offensive droughts in that game.
