Not sure if I was feeling that first shot by Zegras. Nice hands to open up space for himself but he shot at a wall with the goalie fully squared up.

Since most of us are here, I will ask the question...

Does Germany have a chance against Russia in the quarters?

Costmar is again playing a very good game. He’s a no quit, and in your face player no matter what the score. Some of his nasty needs to rub off on the Swedish top guys, who have the skills.
I won't pretend I knew anything about him going into the tournament.
I knew so little that I did not even know who Drafted him, later to realize he was a Canucks prospect:laugh: lmao
He has been such a pleasant surprise

The pass came from the red line. Caufield was back and left as the puck was going up.

From what I've read neither Caufield, nor Boldy has been that great. That's concerning for the states.

You should watch games instead of reading Montreal's board. Boldy has been one of the United States best forwards through the tournament.

You both beat me to it. I was about to post the same thing.
I already didn’t care for the NHL Network pbp guy and his recent comment seals the deal: (paraphrasing) he said no matter the stats, Caufield has been excellent. Yes, he actually used the word excellent. What a freaking homer! I’m a Team USA fan, but at least I call out US players who deserve to be ripped
When I heard Nelson say that I almost fell out of my chair. Maybe he began celebrating the new year a bit early?

He plays on Austria... lol

...and was only their 3rd best forward behind Kasper and Harnisch. Yeah, I know that he got one of the best player awards but he was still bad. Both Kasper and Harnisch were clearly better. At this point, Rossi is nowhere near NHL level. I wonder if it's covid related though. He also sucked for the Lions and was scratched for several games.

We (the Swiss) would be more than happy to exchange coaching staff. Ours were smart enough to play our best defender 16mins and and our 2nd best winger 10mins in a 4-5 loss:facepalm:
You're complaining on a high level:laugh:

it’s annoying when it’s the same year after year and the result never changes, worst when it really matters
