Am I wrong for turning on the game late and being shocked that it was only 4-0?

But seriously, I always have a soft spot flr Kazakhstan whenever they're in a major tournament. I keep hoping they find some success outside of whatever was left them after the dissolution of the USSR.

I mean they have been a 1st/2nd division tweener. Being absolutely obliterated by one of the big boys in a weak year in a junior tournament isn’t really that shocking IMO, especially with Russia as non participants considering they likely would’ve been in the second division otherwise.

SVT with their ridiculous budget should hand him a blank check so they can replace Andersson. People watch hockey broadcasts he is in just because he is in it.

Dunno how much he can face in these broadcasts nowadays due to his job at Djurgårn but yeah.

The USSR is long gone and hockey in Kazakhstan is a-booming. They're slowly progressing and hockey is very popular over there.

If you look at the faces of Kazakhstani players in the 90s or 00s, they're all Russian. These days ethnic Kazakhs are slowly becoming a majority on their junior national teams.

So hockey is on the way up there.

does anyone else think Sweden looks TERRIBLE coming out of their own end???

This is usually the part of the game where i think they are the best of anyone. Their defensemen's passing this game is horrible.

It's almost like they don't care about this game, eh? ;)

Wow, was this a snoozefest after the first period 😅

Canada would probably scored twice as many goals since they never slack down, even with huge early leads.

Cannot really say any Swedes were spectacular, but I liked Willander, Wahlberg and Granberg I guess.

Herman Träff has been completely invisible for two games now.
