The Tre Kronor is actually threatened with elimination from the tournament. Switzerland will definitely score, Slovakia too! The Czechs have the toughest opponents behind them. It now seems that the way is clear for the Czechs, even if they have to be careful. The tournament remains insane. Sweden has to win all games regularly and still has Russia as an opponent.

Now to the big question: EVERYONE thought Sweden had a PP before the 3rd and EVERYONE were astonished the Czechs started with a PP instead. What the hell happened there? I've NEVER seen anything like it in decades of watching hockey. And from a ref standpoint, I kind of expected the same result as the numbers. It was much more the Czechs seeking scrums and being bad guys than the Swedes to seek a provocation to turn the game around. And apparently it worked, big time.

So what just happened? Anyway, Lundkvist is out, so my interest in this tournament has diminished with at least 80% in a heartbeat. I'm just curious. Was it the organizaton or the refs? It's honestly baffling.

I agree.... it made no sense. The Swede did start it.. but I'm not sure how they got what they did out of it. Swedes should've skated away from us... Czechs aren't front runners.. they like to be pissed of underdogs. I honeslty wouldn't be surprised if we lose to GB next game.

After 1st period... people were talking how we have no chance and need help.

After end of game.. people are saying same about Sweden.

Final 4 will be 4 of Czechs, Sweden, Finland, Swiss, US, Canada and Russia.

Normally I wouldn't put Czechs (or swiss) in that but both teams have a strong team while the big 5 have weaker teams

You are very optimistic but I think you will be wrong. One or may be even two teams of those you mentioned will miss the quarterfinal. I have nothing against one of those teams though I‘m cheering for Finland and Switzerland. But even Finland isn’t yet through. If they lose against Germany and that wouldn‘t be the first time, they can easily miss the quarterfinals because the other 2 remaining games are against Latvia and Canada. Both are not at all easy opponents for Finland.

Can't assume anything. I hope Slovakia beats Denmark (no offence to Danes) but far from certain. I will definitely be scoreboard watching. I wouldn't want to be great Britain right about now as Sweden will probably be unhappy and hungry.

It is not hard for me to picture Sweden running the table. Nor is it hard for me to see Canada doing the same.
