Probably PTSD from the whole MSL episode with Yzerman back in 2014, granted those guys wouldn't be mad if they weren't picked. Doug Armstrong probably vouched for a guy like Parayko.

Awesome start to the tourney, that was far more entertaining than a typical mid-February game. Crosby is such a legend and I’d vote for him for Prime Minister tomorrow if I could. Amazing shot by Marner to win it, what a great player. Can’t wait until Saturday!

Hagel is third in the league in points at 5 on 5 and something like 6th in points at even strength. Really not much of a case for any wingers to make it over him. I could see taking Strome or Scheifele over Cirelli but doubt it would make much difference.

Cirelli and Hagel would've impressed you more if you saw more penalty kills. They also didn't see the ice much. Thought Hagel was at least doing well finishing his checks and broke up a potential break/odd man rush in OT. Wasn't really a noticeable game from Cirelli, agreed. I think you'll probably like them more the more you see them.

No worries… I will keep an eye out. And I’m not “against” them. It’s just that we had two guys who by ALL the stats deserved to be there and know how to play with McD….

And here we are, you impressed by McD on a night when he looked pretty below standard to most Oiler fans. It’s a short tourney and he’s a secret weapon. We should be doing things to maximize his impact.

Cooper knows only too well from the 2 playoff series against him how effective Marner is in big games. Marner owned Kucherovs soul those 2 series.

There is no universe where we need to see Mack with Mcdavid again. Clearly MacK is delusional and thinks he's the best player in the world and tries to prove it every shift he's on the ice with McDavid.
