Makar has been pretty bad
I'd argue this format lends itself to better hockey. No back to backs here. No game against the 14th ranked team. No large round robin to allow you to settle in.. So it's all systems go and will be through the whole thing with no real down time.Yeah, I don't think anyone is debating that. The comparison is between this and the Olympics.
Yes, they are listed as the 3rd lineStill getting used to each other out there.
I’ve liked the Marchand-Point-Jarvis line. (Is that a line?)
Are we digging the jerseys? they seem just OK to me
coping for what?pathetic levels of cope.
I'm Canadian, and I've said that this tournament is a joke and not worth anything from the minute it was announced.I can already tell everyone but Canadians going to say this tournament was a joke and not worth anything lol
The team I always remember for their speed was the 1972 Russian team that crushed Team Canada 7-3 in game 1 of the Summit Series. They were skating circles around the out of shape Canadians who had no idea what they were in for. The fact that Canada somehow managed to come back and win the series still blows my mind and is the best example of WIM (Wants It More) that I've seen in my 50+ years of following North American pro sports. The team I always remember for their speed was the 2010 Olympic team in that 7-3 win over Russia or whatever it was.
A lot of guys on Sweden looked like they were squeezing their sticks too tight that period. It'll be interesting to see how they respond in the second period.I believe that was Hedman and Brodin they just sliced and diced through like it was a Saw movie.lol
Sweden has yet to register a shot. Not sure how the Swedish posters are feeling but now I'd be a bit worried.
I do think Sweden can come back though. This is a great squad currently getting stormed.
