He's earned it. I won't bother with a gag reaction just because the negative qualities that are nearly always present in the form of one player at a time have been given the same face over the years.

It's a very good roster in terms of opportunities to prove oneself for the World Championships, but I so wanted to see Boumedienne travel to Stockholm.

Any reason they didnt take Jussi Jokinen, their leading scorer from the previous 2 tournaments?

Jokinen could use more opportunities to make the World Championships, but then again I wouldn't have expected him to play with intensity and consistency in the SHG either. The pre-tournament camp in April will be enough if anything is.

The Swedish roster:

All Kärpät-players who participated at the tournament in St Petersburg were out of consideration. It was thought by national team to be best to give them rest. (Niinimaa didn´t play at St P)

I've just seen the russian line-up and I miss such big names like Gonchar or Kalinin in the defense. What's up with them? What about Zherdev and Viktor Kozlov in the offense? I also think that Mozyakin should finally get the chance to show what he is made of. He has played very good the last years.
By the way, why is a great goalie like Nabokov not mentioned?

Jarkko Immonen (JYP) and Lasse Pirjetä (HIFK/Pittsburgh) are injured and not playing. They have just small injuries according to www.jatkoaika.com. Petri Pakaslahti (Jokerit) and Jyrki Louhi (HPK) will play instead.

Russia's top line will probably be Kovalchuk - Kaigorodov - Kovalev. Since Datsyuk isn't on the team, Kaigorodov, the RSL leading scorer logically took the top center position.
