Tikkanen and Ruutu would need to run Sundin into the ground. He is the finn killer. Also surprised Skriko isn't there for secondary scoring. I would maybe have Sinisalo at his best ahead of Teräväinen too.

Off course Im projecting. Otherwise there’s several other swedes in the mix who could challenge Numminen - Norstrom, T. Jonsson, K. Jonsson, OEL, C. Johansson, U. Samuelsson, Ohlund among others
None of those could. They could challenge Dallas/Buffalo Teppo. But the Winnipeg/Phoenix Teppo was incredible.

stopping Sundin with physical play was surely not eazy. the guy was build like a tank and fearless.

Öhlund and Klingberg? Have a look at Numminen's career first. Klingberg has never played defense as well as Numminen in his years when he concentrated on offense.
i personally consider Ohlund and Numminen to be quite a similar level.

How? The eras are different, sure. But most years after Numminen's second season he was at least as good defensively as Öhlund. Öhlund was more physical, Teppo smarter. Then factor in the points..
well, maybe you’re right.
I might be biased as Ohlund was a rock for the Canucks, and ai always thought he was offensively capable but chose the defence-first route.
I never thought of Numminen as a great offensive dman, but I see he did have a 10-15 more assists than Ohlund in his good seasons (even the ones that ARE in the same era)
I could be wrong. I always thought they were both really good all around dmen who flew under the radar. Kenny Jonsson, too, but much if that is based off of one spectacular olympics.
Surprised by how few seasons Ohlund played. That damned eye injury really ended things for him.
