Nyquist needs to get going he is the only one on this team that has the potential ro score a lot

We got a point and didnt look too bad in the process, with our D getting a point against Sweden is HUGE.

Congrats I guess I am glad that a team that will actually be happy about it got a point out of this game

Nygren is just flailing around like he had parkinsons

Yes, but we can't do much better, you can. And even your weak team has one of the greatest allies - the luck!

I doubt this team can do so much better tbh! but i sure hope i will cheer for this guys! and you shall have a little bit of luck if you want to win a game:)!

Attendance was only 4 420.

Only 9656 combined in first 2 games...

Only?

Let me think. it's a working day in Russia, games started at 16-15. Yubileiny has 6000 capacity, so it was almost full.

Well, to be honest, while Sweden does have their C or even D roster at best, this players are still top players in Europe, so they should win more confidently against Latvia.

silly rabbit. nobody works in Russia. jokes. It's May holidays though culminating with Victory Day May 9.

Exactly. CAN-USA would be easily around 16k in Prague last year, SWE-LAT would be around 14-15k, I imagine. Even if it was a working day.

CAN-USA was played in Yubileiny Ice Palace which has 6000 capacity. VTB has 12 000 O2 has what, 17000?

Working day in Prague and in St.Petersburg or Moscow is a different beast.

To be honest I dont see Sweden has got any chance of winning this year. no passion, no grind no nothing, passs pass what do they want anyway they like we dont care about hockey we play football

That kind of feeling after the first game usually suits Sweden pretty well though ;)

Really though I agree Nashville would have to get eliminated in five, washington in five and tampa in five and through some miracle they'd get all of Bäckström, Forsberg, Ekholm and Hedman for that to be the case this year.

Sabres doesn't give him much time on the ice? Terrible coach?

He was sort of "Mr Fix It" for them this year as Bylsma tried to figure out how to use him and Girgensons had a lot of different roles. At times he was their "heavy line" center, used in checking roles with Larsson on one wing and a rotation of other players on the other, working best with Foligno. Then he moved onto LW with Eichel and had a little spate of offensive production while helping to shift Eichel's GF/GA and then he got dinged and left the lineup. When he came back, he played some with O'Reilly on the top line, again a solid defensive stat line but the offense didn't come, and then get got back in the middle with a couple of AHL-level guys on his wings when O'Reilly was out. So basically he showed he can play everywhere and do a bit of everything, but his scoring numbers took a big hit.

I'm hoping he is around for the long term.

None of those will play for Sweden in this tournament.
