Even strength is better to look at because a goaltender's SV% on the PK is heavily influenced by the teams system.

Even strength is better to look at because a goaltender's SV% on the PK is heavily influenced by the teams system.

I think it's the opposite. Even an elite PK has a CF% of around 18%. It's impossible to suppress shots on the PK. When they say your goalie has to be your best penalty killer, it's not just an expression.

The only good PK this season with a poor sv% was the Rangers who suppressed shots shorthanded at a rate no other team came close to.
