This really is a preference vote - these two are about as close as you can get with their production/deployment/results
You dont get much closer. Thompson has a bit higher offensive ceiling, Suzuki is the better natural center. Thompson is bigger, Suzuki is more cerebral.
If you want the guy who can go hot and score you 10 goals in 8 games, Thompson is your guy. You want the Center who can supplement your team and go 60% at the dot and go PPG for 10 games? Suzuki.
I prefer Thompson because I'm a Sabres fan and his season two years ago was the best season from either player, but I dont fault anyone taking Suzuki,
