Suter is 36 years old. His game is not dependent on speed and he doesn't play a physically punishing style. I'd be less concerned about the term than the salary. He could be fine at 40 as a bottom pairing or #7 vet guy so long as his salary at that point isn't crazy. 40 is becoming the new 35, again so long as a player isn't a speedster or has a ton of wear and tear.
