Kyle and Kamilla have played Joe twice now. If either of them are sitting with Joe at the end you can pull out the "Joe had a solid alliance with two guys and I got rid of them both, including getting Joe to get rid of the 2nd one himself." They essentially "infiltrated" Joe's Strong Person Alliance, let him think he was running things and struck when they could.

Personally, I think Kyle should get the win because he was the one on the front lines of the infiltration. Kamilla has just kind of been there and thanks to Kyle's successful infiltration was able to get Joe + the Strong People Alliance to stay away from Kamilla. He even got them to get out David, who was in the Alliance, when he sniffed out that Kyle was working with Kamilla. David didn't play that situation right at all, but that doesn't mean he wasn't wrong.
By my count they've played him 3 times. The pre-merge Thomas vote, the David vote and now this. How it wasn't fully clocked they were a duo their amazes me. While early, strategically it's one of the more impressive moves I've seen in how they used idols and advantages to make sure both were completely safe.

nice to see you guys finally coming around to what I've been saying since pre-merge, that Kyle and Kamilla are by far the best players in this game. I wouldn't even consider anyone else in the game an actual player.

Kyle will win for sure unless Kamilla is smart and gets him out before the final....and then she's gotta somehow convince the jury that she actually played the game. She might need Kyle to be friendly advocate on the jury to pull this off.

Kamilla turning on Kyle would be so good. It would be easy for her to convince others to vote Kyle and he would definitely go to bat for her in the jury and tell them all the moves that she’s made.

If she plays her cards right she could be holding a million dollar hand right now. Her covert game could arguably trump anything Joe or Eva have done.

Survivor these days is all about “resumé”. Challenge wins, big moves out in the open, etc.

But I could see the jury rewarding Kamilla for playing a sneaky cut throat game under the radar the entire season.

I don't know if the muscle head big ego players on the jury could ever mentally accept that Kamilla outplayed them or that she played a good game.

I guess in the circumstance that Kyle is on the jury it would depend on how persuasive he could be.

I don't think the muscle heads even respect Kyle's game. They've always looked at him as cog they are dragging along with their alliance. I bet it's a tough bridge for these ego steroid freaks to cross to admit that Kyle (and Kamilla) were toying with them the entire game.

I’m glad I don’t have a clue what that means. 😂
“Edgic” is a system that predicts which player is going to win based off of how they’re portrayed in the edits throughout the season. Every player gets a score after each episode based on a few different factors.

Pretty interesting how accurate it is at predicting who will win each season.

You were right and although I thought that Joe was the most deserving Kyle was a good choice.

What a lame ending to a lame season.

My wife and I have never tapped out on a final tribal council before, but we just didn't give a shit about the FTC and decided to watch Final Destination 2 (review to follow in the "Last Movie You Watched" thread).

This season felt more like a season of Big Brother... One big alliance of strong players picking off the rest of them one by one. There was no dynamic gameplay, there was no big shifts of power, there was no big moves for the entire season. Modern Survivor is wayyyy too Kumbaya, it's so annoying. There's absolutely zero killer instinct in these players anymore. They don't want to make moves, they don't want to backstab, they just all wanna be buddies.

This post contains spoilers.

All right, I'm rooting for Joe.

And Eva wins another advantage.

Kamilla defeats Eva, but will Eva, with her array of advantages, help out Joe in Tribal Council? If she does not, things could go badly for Joe.

No one remains but Joe who appeals to me, and I think I will be disappointed in about an hour and a half.

It's tough watching Mitch's reaction to the fact that he could be voted off tonight. I wonder if there will even be a vote.

I've been happy to see players voted off, and I've been angry to see players voted off, but I don't think I've ever been sad to see a player voted off. The least Probst could've done was offer Mitch a blindfold.

Strength is not an advantage in this challenge, nor is stamina, but hand-eye coordination is. Eva will be in her element.

Predictions: Kyle will go out first, then Kamilla, then Joe. Eva wins.

Haha so much for that. I'm reminded of a Bruce Springsteen lyric: "... the last shall be first and the first shall be last."

New prediction. The final vote will be the closest in Survivor history, between Joe and Kyle. Kyle is showing he is a man of his word, and that gives me something to think about.

Something else to think about: Is David going to go scorched earth during the question phase of the final Tribal Council?

Eva's panicking again. Joe will come to her rescue. And there he goes.

Oh my God. Is Kyle going to blow it?

Good for Eva. Good for Joe. It's heartwarming to see Eva succeed, even when practicing.

And Then There Were Three...

There have been ups and downs in my opinions of all three, but this may be the final three I've liked the most. I think the jury picks Eva.

Eva: "There's something I haven't told you guys." Oh god. Here we go. :scared:

So, Eva, who came off as the delicate little bird who needed help to survive the game, has conquered some of the most difficult education that exists... and she did it without Joe. Was Eva acting throughout the season? I thought I'd wind you up for a second, but not even I'm that cynical. What she's accomplished is truly remarkable. I'm all in with Joe though. The look on his face when he said, "I'm just a fire captain" sealed the deal on that.

David drops the gruff persona and turns normal. Now, he's smiling for once, and that's an improvement.

Joe will win. Kyle and Eva will not because they are both probably more financially secure than Joe. There could also be an underlying thing where they will not get votes because they hid their lives in the real world. Joe has not.

If David gets me to start liking him I'm going to be so pissed off.

Great closing by Joe. He's got this.

Eva sounds more like a motivational speaker than a Survivor contestant. There's a personal connection missing. It's like she's speaking to a group of strangers.

Kyle and Eva must know they're up against a monster in Joe.

I suck and the jury does too. I am shocked.

Joe looks crushed and I don't blame him. They gave money to a lawyer with no kids over a firefighter with kids.

Oh well. Life goes on.

I'd say the closest Survivor ever was to BB was World's Apart, but for very different reasons and the fanbase rejected it.

So theres a rumoured cast list for survivor 50. And man if its true... Oof... Once again survivor continues to miss the mark.

Having 3 people from season 48 is such a choice... Id say im excited to see 2, maybe 3 of the names at most... Why are they inviting POS Ozzy back again, like REALLY?

@Peasy im avoiding reading the cast because I still have to watch seasons 21-41. I got hooked on the show during the covid mess.

My idea for 50 which had no chance of happening would have been to pick 1 person from each season to return and then 1 new person to represent 50. Would have done 5 tribes of 10 and just had some episodes were one from each of the 4 losing tribes gets eliminated and only the top tribe for that week are safe from elimination to cut down the cast quicker.

def bummed if it's accurate. Especially if someone reportedly dropped out due to Ozzy, as I'd much rather have her return.

yeah Kyle was my pick early on from edgic, I don't go follow the subreddit or anything, but the editing was pretty on the nose this season. The only vote out I got wrong from edgic style viewing was Cedrek

Lovely season overall though, Kyle and Kamilla speaking so little yet dominating strategically has never been seen before. And the fact they were wiling to take each other out at 4 to help prop up the other one in Ponderosa was also something I've never seen before either. This season is just an outlier in every way, an old school alliance dominating and everyone being so caring and friendly to eachother, in a genuine and not fake 'reality tv' type way. I'd still rank 46 as the better new era season, for all the lulz

It was a pretty terrible season where the one silver lining was the masterful job done by maybe the greatest secret alliance in the show's history.

Probably the least skilled players I've ever seen. Although that might be because the meatheads all made it deep and they all proved to be stereotypically stupid. Eva and Joe might be two of the worst players to ever make it deep into the season. I couldn't stand them and they didn't have a single strategic bone in their body.
