shakes the clown

For what it's worth, I happened to catch your post before it was deleted, either by you or by a moderator, but I was sad to see it disappear. I thought it would have served as a decent summation of our recent conversations, and quite possibly provide the reason why the Survivor threads have so drastically gone downhill in participation.

You can personally insult me and name-call me and call me a whiny baby and question my veracity as a hockey fan all you want. You can imply that I don't deserve to be a hockey fan. It's no skin off my back. There is an easy solution. Don't hang around with people like you.

Just wanted to add that before I go. Take care.

I don't really find them particularly interesting either, but as of this point they're doing pretty well playing under the radar and shifting some votes. David is the only one who seems to have any idea that they're working together, but he seems to be going a bit loco, so I'm not sure how much his hunch is going to be taken seriously.

Kyle getting them to switch the vote off of Kamilla was a heck of a swing, I think David's erratic behavior may have shielded Kyle a bit from getting too much suspicion.
Kyle and Kamilla were actually my top 2 picks to win (my best friend and I draft players and whoever picks the winner gets a free meal). He picked Kamilla first (Canadians always go at the top in our draft), so I got Kyle I actually think Kyle's position got blown up, he had to be too forcefully to keep Kamilla. It's not really he kept her, more that the entire shield structure around him got blown up. I think we are getting a war, with Joe/Eva in the middle crazily, and they were the most obvious targets.

Love that draft idea. My wife does a "fantasy survivor" pool with her friends as well and it seems like a fun way to add a little more to the game.

Kyle did seem to blow up his spot quite a bit with his intense defense of Kamilla, but as I said I think that David going a bit off the rails may have covered for Kyle a bit... Going to be interesting seeing how that goes moving forward.

Of course dumb ass Joe and his sidekick Eva were tricked into voting for David who was absolutely 100% correct about all of his suspicions even though he went about it wrong.

David was an entertaining character and this show needs more of those.
David was an idiot to be honest. Entertaining but dumb. You can't tell the jury you voted them out because you are strong and they are weak. Even if he survives, he's running right into being a 0 vote finalist. Like, Survivor is a 90% social game and he played that aspect terribly.

I agree he played it bad but that would be even more of a reason for Joe and Eva to bring him to the finals with them if they could all make it.

I think Joe and Eva blew their chances to win the game with voting David out this early. They talked all along about having a strong/athletic person alliance and they blew it and gave up their best shield when there was still too many people around.

I see your point, next week will be deciding. I think the issue here is, David with Mary may have been solid, but Kyle, Shauhin, Kamila is better numbers but less solid. Like, Eva if she can hold on too these advantages and get to the end jus needs to play them until fire.

Seems like mister David got a bit too big for his britches. No jury management. I don't recall who said it, but it's like he was treating Survivor like Mr. Olympiad.

He was more interested in bro'ing out and doing challenges than actually playing the game. Though he was one of the only ones who sniffed out Kyle and Kamilla alliance, he didn't have the social skills to address it in a reasonable way.

David had a great read on the game, and had a good strategy to get himself to the end, but my god his social game just turned to complete shit post merge. He wasnt doin any of this kinda shit pre-merge but just got super power hungry come post merge I guess.

This is why we need more people cast like David. This guy wasnt a big survivor super fan, he was there for the money, not a life changing experience, and look at the great content he brought.

She choose to sit there and the food was already there when they sat down so that still would be her chips. I really don't think it's fixed but whatever floats your boat on that one.
Good grief.

MY CHIPS

Servers replenish the food as the contestants wolf it down. It doesn't matter worth a shit where she sat. The scroll was even facing her on her side of the bowl.

MY CHIPS

Don't believe me? Believe Eva.

I think the person to win the challenge was going to be the person they gave it to. Or who knows, maybe if production didnt like who won and wanted to spice things up more they could change and give it to someone else.

They all had their own assigned seats with name tags and their own bowl of chips.

I've enjoyed your participation here too, Peasy. Very much.

Am I understanding you right? That photo? Eva was assigned a specific place to sit, and the bowl that was therefore assigned to her contained the advantage?

I missed the name tags, that's my bad. Thanks for the photo @Peasy in the past I don't remember it being in someone's specific food.

I wasn't involved in the early convo either about this but with the way he reacts it's not surprising people got into it lol

I just want to know if I'm understanding this right - that Eva was targeted by the producers to get the advantage.

In the picture posted above it 100% looks that way. Not a fan of that at all but with how Jeff runs the show these days it is less surprising.
That was a significant part of why I made my initial comment about Eva being targeted. It wasn't a conspiracy theory. It was based on Probst's and the producers' manipulation of the outcomes.

I got the method wrong but the outcome right.

Hey, thanks. You're a stand-up guy. :thumbu:

That was a satisfying episode, capped off by
David
being sent packing.

On my favourites list, Joe is back to being my clear-cut front-runner. I like him. He's a stand-up guy.

This is an odd season, at least at this point. There is no one left who I really dislike. I could say good things about every one of them so basically they're all tied for second place. I think a villain will reveal themself soon though.

Survivor has become a corporate team building holiday. "Social game," my red ass. David is such an idiot to be the only one to notice the snakes in the grass.

I liked David and I do think the show needs more people like him than just fans of the show but if he would have talked more calmly with Joe and pointed out how Kyle sounds so anxious and is stumbling over his words I think Joe would have been on his side more and realized David was right.

Joe also is a bs artist with his "I've never gone back on my word" nonsense when he literally went back on his word about his alliance with David.

You can't tell people openly you are voting them out because they are weak and expect them to vote for you. It's terrible jury management.

The art of the game is voting people out while making them want to reward you in the end. His attitude did not make people want to reward him.
