I agree. It has to be on purpose, but for what reason? Jeff is always speaking about the "people at home on their couch," that they can do it too, etc. I don't want to see myself making a mockery of the challenges.

We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.
What This Means for You:
- If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
- If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
- Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
- Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

I laughed when fishing gear was a reward for first place. As if that motherf***er is ever getting used. looool
can't remember the last time someone really went to work with the fishing gear. In the new era these gamebots would rather starve than spend even a half hour away from camp that could be spent strategizing.
I question how much food they are getting on the side. doesn't seem like the new era has anyone looking for food or going hungry. I bet they roll up a nice buffet every morning before filming starts.
The main issue is that there is hardly any downtime now with just 26 days. In the old format, you had days where you would do nothing and just stay at your beach. In the new era, theres basically a challenge or journey or something else every day. That eats up a lot of time.
So youre left with a lot less time overall to hang out at camp/around others to build relationships. Now, giving yourself even less time on top of that by going out constantly fishing, youre likely just shooting yourself in the foot.
So imo, the 26 days part also plays a massive role in why we dont see people being bothered to go fishing anymore.

I just assumed whenever it was they switched to having perfectly groomed beards all season that they’re also being fed on the side at the same time.
I miss the element of them having to work for food and drinkable water. Takes away from those that are good at the actual survival element of the game.

yea i'm old enough to remember when people used to debate whether they could afford to vote person off who was good at fishing or other survivor skills. Now the gamebots couldn't care less about that stuff.

Can't stand her. Absolutely rude and hypocritical. She criticizes others for not wanting to play the game, but then criticizes if they're playing too much. Talks about 'being very transparent and honest' and then lies and backstabs. I get that backstabbing is part of the game, but don't act all holier than thou before you do it...
Yep, there is no more "provider" archetype role for people anymore. Really a bummer because I like that style of player.

Oh Jeff what are you doing to survivor. The sad thing is, these types of moments is what he's fishing for with all these no votes and advantages/sitd.
We have officially reached season 41/42 levels of f***ing ridiculous with production tinkering with the game. Your twists are not the star of the show. The players are. f*** off
