I do not expect anything to happen, to be honest.

I hope they would be folded or at the very least relegated, but that's not happening. If Everton got 10 points for 1 violation, City should at least get 1000-point deduction

I said 20 point penalty per season for the last 14 years that they've broken the rules. It would mean losing all the titles won in that period.

The only thing they’d care about is stripping titles/asterisks/etc.

a lengthy transfer ban would also be very bad for them with their squad age

What we will get is a monetary fine that their owners will be able to pay with their couch change

An “appropriate” punishment is probably something line expulsion from the PL and a decent sized transfer ban. That’s obviously not happening though. City has too much money and status to actually face significant consequences.
