GDT: Super Bowl LIX

The big question for Mahomes is whether he'll be able to age gracefully and adapt his game or stay healthy when his legs start to go.

Or bring roster replacement. Not sur Kelce is not at the end, neither Jones.
And Mahomes style ain't Brady, not sure it will age well till 45!
Chiefs might be on the downside.

On the other hand, Eagles will be a force next year. That team is really well built.

The odds are against Mahomes but he's still on a reasonable path to be in discussion. I think a huge factor is going to be his scrambling. Brady never even had that in his arsenal. Mahomes' ability to scramble and pull plays out of his ass will decline over the next 5 years or so. Can he evolve into an on time pocket passer? I'm not so sure.

Also, seems unlikely Andy Reid will be around for another 5-10 years. There are also ELITE QBs in AFC who I think eventually will climb that mountain.

Burrow
Allen
Jackson

That's a daunting task to keep having to beat those guys.

The biggest edge Brady has over mid career Mahomes is he beat him head to head in AFC title game and SB. That alone is a two ring swing in both directions. And Brady never been blown out in a SB. Mahomes now has two of those stains. The overall SB stats between the two aren't close. Mahomes has a 10-7 TD/INT ratio and Brady 21-6.

Is this the Patriots thread or the Super Bowl thread? I see the Patriots thread locked.

Great discussion on Sports Hub this afternoon: Did witnessing the Eagles dominate KC at the line change your opinion of what the Pats draft strategy should be? Last year we had some fans here clamoring for Marvin Harrison Jr at 3rd overall. Mock drafts have the Pats taking Travis Hunter at 4.

IF Abdul Carter is available at 4 I think he’s your guy. He’s projected to go to Cleveland at 2. Do the Pats draft Will Campbell? Mason Graham? I avoid taking Hunter. O-line or D-line has to be the play. You can sign a WR in free agency.

Thoughts?

Thanks.
New thread up.
