Last time the Chiefs offensive line was overwhelmed like this they immediately acted. They need to move Thuney back to guard and in reality get two new starting tackles. That is probably nearly impossible though. They need to pay Smith too.

For as much talk as there was about their interior being the weakness they got killed on the ends. By far the best game of the year by the Eagles dline. They weren't really great this year rushing the passer, it was their back 7 that was so good in coverage. Put a dominant rush like that with excellent coverage and this is how you get a blowout.

Yeah, the Chiefs have had a bunch of turnover from their prior wins, but it's time for a bigger overhaul.

And the Eagles provide an excellent example of how it can be done. You can use a couple of drafts, trades, and free agency to revamp a big chunk of the roster in short order to bounce back to contention. That said, it's not at all easy to do. You have to have an unusually awesome draft hit rate.

Taylor can't be moved really. His $19 mill base salary for 2025 became guaranteed back in March 2024. Monster dead cap charge if you cut him. No one is trading for him. The KC IOL is good when they have Thuney, Creed, Smith. But, Smith is a free agent and as a day 3 guy should look to secure his big payday. Maybe KC ends up moving that big OT from BYU over to OG if he can't handle playing OT in the NFL. But, they need to figure something out with him. Have at least 2 holes on the OL to file.

Veach needs to make some moves and needs his picks to hit. 2023 1st Felix A-U the DE and their 2024 2nd round OT didn't pan out as hoped. When you are a good team and are paying your guys you need your top picks to hit as you will be letting guys walk.
