Colorado aren't really playing like contenders this year. They're average at best unless they can get healthy and catch fire. Boston is freakishly good everywhere else to the point where their 2C doesn't really matter.

Since Tampa is our opponent in round 1, that's the matchup that really matters and they appear much deeper at forward which is a big reason they won last year. It's not a lost cause or anything, but the Leafs need to add a strong forward at the deadline

Yeah that’s fair but the only time teams tend to have a back-up top-6 C stashed away on wing or 3C is for a few months after the deadline, only reason Tampa has Paul longterm is spending 2 deadlines worth of assets for a cheap Hagel and spreading Paul’s money over 8 years. I don’t see any reason we won’t stack up well after the deadline.

I think a good forward and another bottom 6 forward would help us a lot. I think we can matchup with Tampa if that happens up front

Even more shocking is that the Bruins are playing. Guaranteed if the Pats were playing today their game time would have been changed

I’ve had many a Super Bowl weekend in Montreal. Habs play Saturday and Sunday day games. We attend both, Super Bow in a bar then head home Monday morning.
My buddies are heading there again this year but I’m going to Columbus on Friday to see the Leafs with my family instead.

Sammy has been pretty damn solid. I think it's good to give him another chance today. They don't have many options now if Murray is hurt... again...

And Woll has been great in the AHL but next game is Boston... so it's probably Sammy again regardless with the few days break.

I don't blame Sammy last game either. You prepare a certain way game days and then he's thrown in at the start. Let's not pretend the Leafs played well infront of him either. He let 1 maybe 2 shitty goals but a bunch were Ottawa walking right in on him point blank. Bad team D the other night.
