This is Juliens HUGE problem. Not every outside shot is a scoring chance. Not every point shot is the right shot at the time. Sometimes you got to work it around and not just simplify it. He sounds clueless at this point.

He loves what this team is doing because it's mostly low scoring games. His system is based off of strong defense and offensive zone luck. He is just waiting for more off someone's butt and into the goal games.

“It seems like every game we’re out-chancing teams, but we don’t outscore teams. That’s where the biggest issue is right now. Our scoring is not there and if you don’t score goals you don’t win hockey games,†said Claude Julien. “Because of that we criticize everything else in our game, but our game isn’t that bad.

“If we were scoring goals people would love our game right now, but that’s the biggest part. There’s not much more I can say here except for the fact that if we don’t score goals it’s going tobe hard to win hockey games.â€

Sounds like Julien's not the one who is clueless.

Julien is great, the last 2 years have been amazing and that playoff collapse to the habs means nothing, they are not even a rival. Rask and Pasta are not why they are doing good its the system and stellar defensive gameplan.

Yeah instead of trying to be cool, why don't you explain Julien's offensive strategy to me then?

Julien offensive strategies? His fault Bergeron is producing like a 4th liner? Or that they can't connect on simple passes play on the PP?

Offensive skills can't be thought. Bruins have some. Not much. But plenty are producing below par. Julien fault?

Julien wants nothing more than for his team to score goals. That's up to the players. Theÿ are sucking at scoring goals right now. 100% on them. Thank god for Pasta and Marchand cause this team would be below 2 goals per game...

Certainly Julien's fault that Bergeron hasn't been relegated to the 3rd/4th line.

What's amazing is that they were anywhere near the playoffs with that defense. This season is a little better with Carlo on the team but this team shouldn't be anywhere near a playoff spot in my opinion.

And on this offensive discussion, sure the Bruins may outchance most teams. But when there is a total lack of creativity (outside of Pasta) it's fairly easy for good goalies to follow all the plays and stop pucks. Dump, chase the puck, get it to the point, try to shoot it through the defense which gets blocked 75% of the time, rinse and repeat.

When your system relies on everyone on the ice thinking solely about defense first, and when your in the offensive end doing the same boring **** that never works over and over, it's not surprising what so ever they don't score.

Yes, I"m bitter, because I do believe we have some good offensive talent on this team. Certainly better then the motions I'm watching them go through right now.
