BTW, not sure where I was in my last post here but I've been dieting since August 19th of last year and lost just about 60 pounds. I feel like I can drop a little more, but then again I'm working on the muscle. I hate the ambiguity of adding muscle and losing fat and not knowing what the net pounds would be.

Good work. Now don't f***ing ruin it by letting yourself go. Keep at it.

Thanks, trying my best. I found a hack for keeping on a workout schedule as I'm a lazy bum. I record whether I worked out in an excel spreadsheet and created a formula that if I work out less than 5 times a week a cell pops up and says "failure" in red if I do it properly, I get "success". So my competitive nature doesn't allow me to slack off too much (though I'm actually overall in failure level, missed a few weeks of getting 5 out of 7).

Indulge me in this: one of my guilty pleasures is looking at celebrities' body transformations when they need get into a role. Basically people who weren't jacked getting jacked. Now, I know this will open up a whole convo about celebs who cheated and took enhancers, but that's not really what I focus on or wish to get into. I think that for us mortals who have day jobs that the jacked celeb physiques are actually more realistic to achieve and are in the realm of the possible than striving to attain the physique of a lifelong competition bodybuilder.

I spend a lot of time googling images of celebs and people will think I'm weird. Don't judge me.

But some of my recent favorites in the body transformation department are:
James McAvoy for Split and Glass
David Harbour for Hellboy
Josh Brolin for Cable

Go-to favorites:
Hugh Jackman
Chris Hemsworth
Chris Evans
Ryan Reynolds for the abs and lean muscle look

In the "surprising" department:
Dave Chappelle

I personally like Henry Cavill's physique. He has crazy lats, which give him that great V shape.

First thing I notice about Evans, all the time, is his pecs.

BTW, I have a question. Since I started dieting a lifting my posture has greatly improved. Is that due to losing weight or or adding muscle? Honestly, I'm a short guy (under 5'4) but I "grew" probably a couple of inches.

I still bet you are taller than Zucc. lol. Anyway, yeah when you lose weight, you don't grow but you are putting less pressure on your knees and whatnot, so are likely standing taller. I guess. Not 100 percent sure. All I know is when losing the weight, I don't get tired or out of breath when I walk a flight of stairs anymore. I do a lot of walking whether it's in the city or if I'm at theme park in Florida which I go to often, have annual passes there. I can go a whole day without taking much of a break, less weight on my feet and knees. You feel the difference. I was around 200lbs now am down to like 165-170 now and mostly muscle.

I can run now without dying. I feel so light. Like I'm not hauling a fatass around.

Can't do it. The only person who I notice really is Matt Fraser. Guy is just a beast.
That is the best feeling, not feeling winded.
Hate running. The only time I do is if it is programmed in. Other than that, I am the card carrying president of the "Running Sucks" club.

Just looked him up. Yes, he is. My guess is he is a mesomorph who has genetics on his side.

Bit of both, but better posture can add an inch or two. Happens all the time when people really get into Yoga (which if you haven't tried, is f***ing awesome and difficult as f***)

I posted here about my recovery from being hit by a car two years ago that destroyed my fibula and tibia in a couple of places and needed a titanium rod and screws to keep it together.

The latest (last) activity I returned to is running. I don't do it often because my leg has to feel right before. But what I came here to post is that because I've lost a decent amount of weight since I started controlling my sugar and bad carbs intake (basically cakes, pizza, pasta and, to a lesser extend, white rice), my workout running is now much easier than it used to be. I'm basically doing 3.5miles as follows: the first mile is 8.5 min, the second is 7 min 20 sec and a third is 7 min even, with the last 1/2 is a gradual cool down.

This may be a topic that's not spoken about often for men, but f*** it. I've been going to the gym since November and usually only take off my boxers in the shower. Today for whatever reason my confidence was way higher and I just decided to get fully undressed right in the locker room. Probably one of the most enlightening moments of my entire time going to the gym.

On another topic, I saw Terry Crews at the gym a couple months ago and I don't think I've ever seen anyone so strong in-person in my entire life.

Olympic lifts, bench press variations, pull ups, dips, shoulder press, squats and deadlifts are the crux of my workouts, then I throw in a lot of isolated movements. I need to incorporate some power cleans. My washed up ass is on the rink around twice a week. I find it very difficult to run 1.5 miles before doing any lifting, it impacts my workout a lot so trying to find a happy medium.

If you re doing Oly lifts, aren't you cleaning already? Or are you differentiating between power and squat cleans? You doing overhead squats as well?

You can get your running in during a workout. You can have a rep scheme at moderate weight, followed by a run. Do that for several rounds. personally, I can't stand running and only do it when programmed. Rowing is fine. Even the assault bike. Or other items for conditioning can also be done in lieu of pure running like box jumps.
