You can Keto if you stay away from the beer and stick with the clear hard liquors.

One plus is you get buzzed much quicker on Keto, makes it much cheaper to enjoy yourself that way if thats your thing.

But as I've said before, Keto is hardly necessary. Is it great for fat loss? 100%, but if what you're doing works for you, keep doing it.
Oh, I only drink liquor anyway. Granted, it is probably 50% gin, 25% whiskey, 20% tequila, %5 vodka (I actually took time to think about what the breakdown likely is)

I hardly ever drink beer

But I do a low-cal diet and workout Monday-Thursday, get hammered on Fridays, sometimes Saturdays, chill and watch football with friends all day Sunday but avoid food because I am usually feeling like hell and just trying to reset before work Monday morning

And I have a habit of drunk food, which would def not mesh with keto because I don't give a crap when drunk haha

Summer is coming... I've been good all February. Gym 4 days a week and I'm down about 5 lbs while still building some muscle.. I'm a quarter of the way to the elusive lost 20 lbs threshold..

Good stuff.

Lost about 4-5 kgs since start of Feb. Cut out bread, potatoes and rice. I didn't eat whole lot if it before but now it's completely out for the foreseeable future.

Ooh this thread is good for me!

At my height, I was 201 pounds (although that might have been me weighing myself after a big meal, not sure) at 5'3.5 (yes I'm short). Consistently I was at 198. Then I got down to about 195 by the time I started my low carb diet. I started my low carb diet on August 19th. I also quasi-intermittent fast. So now a little more than 6 months later I'm at 147. I think I can go down to 140. I do need to add muscle. Anyway, I'm surprised I've been able to do it. The best part is I don't particularly want to go back to eating shit.

Damn, Hunter Gatherers makes my weight loss look lame. Also, I'm careful not to say I do keto because I don't consciously eat a lot of fat.

BTW, I forgot to mention, I used to get heartburn multiple times a day. I almost never get it now and when I do it's barely a blip. Also, I've really calmed down and feel much better mentally in addition to physically. The only negative side effect and it might not be because of the diet is that I'm not sleeping well for some reason.

That's impressive. Well done.

Thanks, but the OP has us all beat, haha. Then again, I didn't have 100 pounds to lose, haha.

Yeah but you also did a low carb diet which tbh i don't consider a diet. More along the lines of healthy eating than anything else. It takes dedication and discipline.

Yeah, and that part is motivating. I can continue on it and not feel like I'm doing something weird or unnatural.

I used to get it really bad as well. Was eating Zantac's like they were tic-tac's!

I'm still on Keto. Have been since I'm guessing around April. Target goal was 100lbs by Christmas. Fell short, but lost significant weight. Down 74 lbs. Pushed the goal of 100 back to Start of summer.

2 meals a day with a fast from 8:30pm at night to 12:30 pm in the afternoon.

Today is Adirondack scrambled eggs for lunch. And Brisket and mashed califlour for dinner.

Got the recipe for the eggs in Lake Placid. It's been a staple since.

Scramble eggs
Chives
1/4 of a vine ripe tomato diced
Cream cheese
Kerrygold butter

Med-low heat- Melt butter in pan, add cream cheese and tomato first. Once the cream cheese starts to break down add the eggs, and chives. Scramble all together.

Serves great with sausage or bacon.

Been away from the gym for a couple of weeks and not getting those feel-good endorphins. Travel followed by the flu and taking a couple of days easy to make sure my body is fully recovered to handle the stresses of cardio and resistance work.

This was a brutal Flu season.

Do you guys set goal weights or body fat % for yourself?

I just turned 24 years old and I’m 6’5 216.2lbs (as of this morning) and I’ve seen plenty of websites and online calculators say my ideal weight is around 190. This seems very low. How should I set my goal? “Look better without a shirt on” isn’t exactly a goal you can measure and track very well.

Goal weights are tricky. I'm 6ft and my ideal weight is like 170lbs or something. Two doctors have told me I'd actually be unhealthy at that weight because it doesn't suit my build.

Feeling good and being healthy is more important than a target weight, IMO. Especially if you're focusing on building muscle.

Body composition>>>>>goal weight.

I won't say ditch the scale because its nice to have some frame of reference but do not let it become the be all end all.

Take measurements and/or photographs to track your progress. Accurate body fat readings are expensive and really not necessary.

Was actually thinking about this thread.

I believe that a good sweat can actually help with colds, etc.

Can't do the diets
