New poll series coming from me in June
As promised after a few years of waiting I'm back with another poll series.
This series sees current players divided into 24 teams into 24 current non-NHL markets as the league looks at expansion. The teams are divided into 6 4 team groups with a playoff setup similar to the current Euros soccer tournament.
Groupings for the teams were chosen based upon a randomizer, same with the players within groups of 24. So here for example Auston Matthews was in 1-24 for centres and William Karlsson in 25-48 for centres.
There will be 2 matches daily, players were chosen based upon point shares from 2023-2024, I got the stats from Hockeyreference.com. There could be some players out of position but I used positions on hockeyreference.com and put players listed as forwards into positions to fill space.
Our first match features the team from Austin, Texas taking on the team from Regina, Saskatchewan. The polls will be open 24 hours.
Hope these have the same participation levels as my polls in the past have.
