Sudbury Wolves 2024-25 Season Thread, Part IV

We are back people! Wolves hosting the Brantford Bulldogs tonight. Hearing the 7:05 puck drop might be a touch delayed here.

A couple of things;

Lineup for tonight


- Chucky (30) and Ewles (7) are both back.
- Kearns is new (2)
- Musty is out. The Rumour mill says missed a team meeting but no evidence. Could just be a troll.



Tonights jerseys are being auctioned off;

Can we please take the Gary Beech comedy hour off the air. He's unbearable. He's also fully in the camp that the louder he is the better of a commentator he is. Every play is game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Beech and Leeson both say resting Musty! What a joke, he’s played the least amount of games of any regular on this team (32). Local media continue to treat this player with kid gloves and you wonder why he has an entitled attitude
If Mews is gone, the GM, ass’t GM and anyone connected with this trade should be gone! Said it before it wasn’t our year to buy. 2 home playoff games and done!

I think the mods need to fix the pinned threads. They all look like last season threads.

We do absolutely have terrible ice, the ice two weeks the puck has been bouncing around alot. I think it helped alot with some of the wins.

Random thoughts,

Not really sure what's happening, but seems strange that there are zero posts after last night's sorry excuse for a game.
I'll take the two points but the Wolves seemed completely uninterested or something.
It was almost unwatchable at times, and then Musty went out with a possible shoulder injury in the 3rd after a big hit. Guess we'll see if he returns tonight.
Walton was back to floating around. Barely making any effort to pursue the puck or puck carrier.
Defence was non-existent. And there seemed to be only five, 95,88,19,12, and 7.
Pharand can't ever seem to accept a pass without bobbling it.
Did Dario only hire the "leadership coach" for a week?

If they play tonight, even remotely like they did last night, they may have to invoke the mercy rule.☹️

The 6th d was Kearns, he's 16 and his 2nd game. It's similar to how the team has utilized d outside of their regular 7 in the past. Jackson last year for example when called up got maybe 5 minutes a game.

I saw his name on the lineup but can't recall ever seeing him on the ice.
Of course, only saw Doucet once also.

Blonda suspended....

Blonda was for Friday and Saturday back in tonight. O'dell in too.

Villy, Musty, McCoy and DeAngelis all out "load management"
