Sudbury Wolves 2024-25 Season Thread, Part IV

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.
  • We are currently aware of "log in/security error" issues that are affecting some users. We apologize and ask for your patience as we try to get these issues fixed.
What is happening with this team. Win or lose, this game is a huge step backwards, Villeneuve with a misconduct, Blonda with a pointless suspension. Roberts back to being clueless in the defensive end. This team is it's own worst enemy nights like tonight.

Someone please teach these players to count to 4. Having players suspended because they can't count that high is just ridiculous.

Maybe I'm just not getting it, but why would you throw a fish on the ice after your team, the Steelheads, score?

I know a Sudbury fan did it when we beat them in the playoffs last year but I still don't understand why a Brampton fan would do that. Unless it was a Sudbury fan in enemy territory lol
A Steelhead is a fish!
I believe they were celebrating!

I thought that was obvious. Well the team won, but I don’t see how you can be happy about almost blowing a 7 to 3 lead. Also didn’t like the fact that Marshall was down often and early. I hope that’s not gonna be a trend as I think it was partly responsible for the near comeback.

After 5 min fighting Major (4th fight), #93 never saw the ice again.
Should’ve known better in the first place. I don’t know where he thinks he’s a fighter. He didn’t even get one shot in.

I am a BIG Blonda fan no doubt, it seems he is trying to develop his game in all aspects a little to quickly. He will eventually be an elite player in this league and doesn’t have to prove himself immediately especially as a tough guy. His first fight was against the Petes as the aggressor pairing off the German import Kiaser, 6ft7 240lbs, maybe not a good decision. He will learn from his mistakes,he just has to practice patients.

It is worth mentioning that Marshall has played a full 60 minutes in each of the last five games, which is a lot to ask for a rookie in the league.

He had a rough game against the Steelheads, who have scored the fourth-highest number of goals in the OHL.

He's shown some serious potential and will hopefully get a rest soon.

5th goal off Robert’s skate, 6th goal was totally screened. Last second goal of second period by Misa was an awesome shot but this one is on the players on the ice (this goal can’t happen). Another goal resulted when Chitaroni brought puck back in our end zone and lost puck which ended up in our net.
Could Marshall been better? Yes, perhaps. But for the first two periods our team played more run and gun hockey vs our D structured style that earned us a 4 game winning streak.
Third period we got back to our game but overall we gave up 36 shots (way too much) but found away to win with Finn.
Friday against Brantford we will need to play a full 60 of sound structured hockey to extend the streak. Might want to glue Hounderson onto Lardis…
