Not sure if today was the low point of the season but it needs to be the turning point. Time for our coaches to be hard asses. You can’t play team D, you sit or a healthy scratch. Play the kids. I can’t believe the selfishness and lack of awareness when on the ice. The amount of odd man rushes up ice against us is laughable. Our so called vets (some NHL drafted(one signed)), are killing this team. Conform or don’t play.

Oh how in a few weeks how things can change

Don’t flip flop between wolves are contenders and pretenders. Everyone knows they’re likely a 4th-6th placed team at best when it’s all said and done. You guys will be in the same boat as us by the playoffs. Good enough to maybe win a round- MAYBE 2 if you’re lucky enough but nothing after that. Same thing with Kingston. Only 1. Can come out of the east, only 1 can win the league championship. Great teams fall all the time.

You guys are in a better spot than Kingston for next year though. Still have lots of younger guys, still will have Walton, Villeneuve and Mews to trade next year and get assets and build around your young core + whoever you select in the priority selection/u18/import draft. You’ll be fine. Only real guys that you’ll be losing is the OA’s Deangelis, McCoy, Delic and then obviously Musty for 19 year olds. Pharand is iffy.

A fourth or a sixth are you well? We are lucky if we finish seventh how this team is playing of late.

A fourth to sixth placed finish. Fifth is possible too.

You’ll figure it out. Seems to be a lot of offensive talent on paper atleast. Dont judge a team in a rough patch- every team goes through it at some point (unless you play in London)

Unfortunately to have a chance at 4th they need to go 16-6 in our last 22, that's if the teams ahead of us go .500. Of those last 22 games only 4 are against teams not in a playoff spot. We are 9-10-3 on the road and off our remaining 22 games there are 12 road games. if we maintain our current record on the road let's call it .500 (being alittle generous) we go 6-6 that means we cannot lose another game at home all year and our home record is 14-8-2. All that alone makes 4th or 5th and stretch requiring alot of help which hasn't been happening with all the 3 point games.

Our remaining schedule is
North Bay x 1
Brantford x 2
Niagara x 2
Erie x 1
Brampton x 4
Flint x 1
Saginaw x 2
Guelph x 1
Owen Sound x 1
SSM x 2
Oshawa x 3
Barrie x 1
Peterborough x 1

Don't know about you but I can easily see 8-10 loses in that schedule.

Easily 10 if not more. This season looks to be a wrap.

The concern is they haven't been staying in games against team that their fighting with. I would have more hope if we were looking at 1 or two goal games deficit. Huge break down down defensively and lack of consistent scoring chances.

WE WANT TEN WE WANT TEN anyone hear that, maybe coming back to haunt us. I was not at this game was Papineau lecturing poor Brent in the gondola about the game? and poor Brent doing the bobble head to earn his pay check?
Horrible game..more like shinny. Disappointment.

I see Walton being traded this summer and Villy and Mews at deadline. should bring back 1 or 2 09s and picks. We have our 2025 1st rounder, do we have 2 2nd round picks as well?
Do you guys know the conditions on the deal? If Mews comes back, you would think that the conditional 6th, 7th and 8th picks would upgrade?

Thanks and good luck this year :)

I have liked the Frontenacs chances more than you all along, I think. I picked them for the two seed behind Barrie.
I don’t particularly like the Schenkel trade though. If sandbagging the local kid, do it for a 19 yr old not the OA goalie he beat in the playoffs the season before

If the steelheads get more points in the 4 games vs the wolves than the wolves do in those games, make Barney the assistant coach immediately, make him want to quit to get out his contract.

I would imagine the conditional picks are subject to upgrade. Hopefully, a condition is helping the wolves win.

I don’t believe the problem is behind the bench I believe it is in the gondola. You can see during some games he is contacting the bench or directing Brent to pass on his messages. I know last year he directed Kmac when or not to pull Vondras and when to cut the bench. He has a lot of input on what goes on with regards ice time and he still regards Barney as SECOND in command.
