He wasn't in the crease and got tripped by the defenceman. What game are you watching? No idea what they are even reviewing and how he got a penalty there. Garbage reffing as per usual.Does Sudbury know how to play hockey without trying to take out the goalie?
Does North Bay know how to play without diving? Some questions we'll never find out.Does Sudbury know how to play hockey without trying to take out the goalie?
Maybe ask the North Bay defenders why they hate their goalie? Mind you asking them to skate and turn at the same time is already a big ask for some of them.watched the wolves run McIvor multiple times this year. Must not be able to practice crossovers at the rink, bad ice from all the cameras shooting bad tv shows
Hopefully we can get this same level of play against some contenders soon, always fun to put up 8 regardless.Feels good to experience a win again. Really liked our bottom 6 forwards tonight, they played really hard and fast! Nice to see DiGi using his body tonight.
O’Dell is really solid and an unassuming DMan. The guy Eats pucks. Zili#16 is smart but I think we have better PK options. I like him more and more each time out. Congrats on 1st OHL goal. Blonda can fly and is a treat to watch.
Only when it looked like NBay gave up was Delic line productive. Shift length was often too long and I tense up when they play in own end. Circles and lost coverage. For once i’d like to see #22 be the first back checker on this line. No intent or interest in back pressure. Overall this line needs to limit turnovers and win some puck battles. They absolutely need to focus on keeping a high forward in Ozone to support D.
Harsh? Yes. But if they can some how play some D Ill forgive all the turnovers in the OZone.
Big win! Villy is a beauty. Musty has sick edges and smooth mits..
The trick now is score 8 against NBay Friday night and go back to playing shut down D on Sunday afternoon.Hopefully we can get this same level of play against some contenders soon, always fun to put up 8 regardless.
And with only 4 games again teams not in the playoffs. we likely need to go 17-6 to have a chance at home ice.Papineau has built this team to be a contender against the bottom four sadly. The team jells when things are going right as seen in Villys play last night. What concerns me is when we are down team and coaching staff go into panic mode. Team has to accept the fact we are finishing 6th or 7th at best and playing everyone is a must to gain confidence with all the players going forward. Coaching staff cannot allow individual players to finish out this season with padding their stats. The potential for a first round upset are there, let’s hope preparation is there to.
It looked like the boys did not have much energy throughout most of the game. It is troubling that the players were winded after getting a full week off. On top of that, Musty and Walton were looking like they didn't want to be there! At least it seems like they figured it out. Here's hoping they keep going.Papineau has built this team to be a contender against the bottom four sadly. The team jells when things are going right as seen in Villys play last night. I think the energy was fine last night. I think the wolves peaked early in in the year , now most have caught up and passed us in the standings. Think NB was missing players last night? Not sure that’s gonna happen with Leenders in net. What I believe is needed is a winning streak. Build off Friday’s win by playing hard/committed D and score when opportunity presents itself..Time for a new profile picture!
Glad to get back in the win column, almost forgot what it was like.
Hope we score 10 against the battalion today!
In hindsight... Moving Musty earlier would of prevented the buy at the deadline. We could have added some good picks and and a piece or two moving some of our OA's. But only Papineau knows what kind of offers he was getting for the OA's and guys like Pharand or Coughlan.Pick your poison, Barrie, Oshawa, or Kingston not the position you would think we would be in since our Gms idea of going for it at the deadline. The big if question is could we still be facing the same predicament if we had moved Musty, Delic and McCoy for a future build and still finished at least eighth making the playoffs. Would we not still be facing one of the mentioned above? Thoughts?
Yep and we would have more assets for next season the young guys would be getting high leverage experience.Pick your poison, Barrie, Oshawa, or Kingston not the position you would think we would be in since our Gms idea of going for it at the deadline. I think the buy may have been worse had we moved Musty, don't forget Musty had been out for 2 months before the deadline so wasn't taking part in games. RP may have pushed harder on Pinelli. In hindsight... Moving Musty earlier would of prevented the buy at the deadline. But like I have always stated we can't always wait until deadline to make moves. Need to tinker much earlier to find those bottom six impact players to round out a bigger move. Trying to do it all at the deadline will always leave you feeling that you are still straddling the line of going all in and not. But in our fanbase eyes giving up Jackson, picks for Mews, picks for Roberts and picks for Molnar and not getting your imports to report can't really leave you thinking that we did enough to compete with the top four in the East and or finish for home ice in the first round.
An optimist will believe we still can do it with the games left but as one pointed out we play most of our games vs those top four teams the rest of the way including Brampton who I believe will jump us as well. They are just too deep and big to not. Losing to North Bay and the Petes really stung. Those 4 points would of been difference makers regardless of losing to London back to back and Windsor couple of weeks ago.

What you say is so true, Papineau has always overrated the value of his players which has resulted in trades going south. How can the owner stand by and continually allow this to happen? He has to be quite aware of the reputation of his GM throughout the league with regards to the other owners. He cannot turn a deaf ear to what other owners are saying. Friendship is one thing, business is another. The future of this franchise cannot just depend on 5 dollar beer, 3 dollar hotdogs,if you can call them that, and the charge for buddy tickets. In hindsight... And Dario will be all inOh and I have heard speculation the Mews will be back next season and RP plans in that case to keep him all year. We are in never rebuild mode if that speculation is true.
