Not even 20 shots on net, just horrible. Expected Mews to be lacking defensively, but Roberts is another Brantford disaster it seems.

Tough night... Hope they tighten up in the next two. Windsor is a deep and big team but we just collectively never played a good game. All over the ice. Some very lazy players tonight who didn't skate and play with pace. Lack of discipline cost them any momentum. Good thing about tonight is North Bay beat Barrie. How is that for karma!!! Wigle and Moses scoring the goals.

Forwards not back tracking back to our net. Lots of straight legs. Odd man rushes. Finn deserved better.

Won’t get far in the playoffs if we’re just playing two lines. They’ll be gassed. And those two lines have to pick up their defensive game and be a little more physical because the playoffs is a different beast. It’s going to be a grind so better to work on those things now before playoffs come

Blonda was our best D on the ice for what little he got, seems not to long ago we watched a coach go with two lines. Hoping these trades did not demoralize some players. Time to get back on track tomorrow.

Wow, Mews defensive game sure not there
I think everyone knew coming in that Mews was a better offensive D and needed to work on the D side of his game; however, last nights Windsor game our D (particularly Mews)had no help from the forwards on several odd man rushes up ice occurred. Furthermore, until we get back to prioritizing D and playing inside the puck and protecting the house in our end, our D will struggle. Playing team D will not leave our slot or net front so wide open as it has been of late.
Center men need to be down low for support and wingers below the puck after a strong back check (stop selfishly blowing the zone). Offensive glory/stats will always be there but only after we exit our zone strong. We need to stop sacrificing D for a chance to score 150feet up ice.
That was Mews third game, I for one give him a pass. He’ll improve and so will all our D when the forwards commit to better protection of their zone and goalie. IMHO

Well put, practice and time will hopefully improve our chances of going further in the playoffs.

Agreed. This coaching staff has proven to be more than capable of getting this team to play the right way. New bodies, stuff will get figured out. Clayton will be slotted back in and over time the lines and roles will become clear.
Go Wolfers Go.

First measure of the yardstick complete. Windsor is strong but some of our dysfunction was evident. We will learn more from this 6-2 loss than had we now been celebrating a 6-2 win.

Also, may have been closer with Krawchuk in net, but then the flaws might not have been as evident.

Hoping for better results tonight. Krawchuk between the pipes. McCoy sits 2 for a suspension. O'Dell slots in. Di Gi back in. Street out.

Lineup:

Walton - Delic - Pharand
Musty - Villeneuve - Molnar
Henderson - Chitaroni - Coughlan
Dean - Ziliotto - Di Giantommaso

DeAngelis - Ewles
Roberts - Mews
O'Dell - Blonda

Always appreciate you posting these. If it's not too much to ask, consider posting the player's numbers along with the names.

I'm still learning all the numbers and seeing them more often would help. No worries if it's something you're not interested in doing lol

WTF is happening? What happened to the great passing of this past Sunday? Wolves are playing like they don’t know each other. Individual play. Brutal decision making. Brutal PPs. Turn overs all over the ice. Blowing our zone way too early..
I guess it can hopefully get better in the next 2 periods.

Both goals were very stopable, let’s just hope history does not repeat itself when goaltending was not addressed before the deadline like last year. What is with Blonda getting what I saw was one shift. Does not look like confidence is building when the silver six are right back on the ice after dumb plays along with dumb penalties. Can’t take the wind out of the younger players sails. We saw this last year and after the trades we are starting to see it again. Chucky is our guy however he lost his confidence last year and it was all downhill from there.
