Let's all be realistic here with Papineau. From his past history with trade deadlines with the Wolves, we could maybe see 2 or 3 pieces added. He hasn't proven to ever go "all in", and I don't expect that to change. It's very important that whatever pieces he adds/subtracts, he gets it right and brings in some upgrades/veterans that improve the team and also doesn't change team morale in a negative way. Leaders and good locker room guys, no bad attitudes please.

Word is Papineau is done after this season though. If that’s me, I leave nothing in an attempt to build the only OHA/OHL champion the wolves have had.

If that's the case he moves Blonda. Don't see that happening.

I can understand Guelph and SSM possibly not wanting Blonda over other young players because they have good young RD. I could not understand being unwilling to part with Blonda for Luchanko or Gibson; unless, the pick portion of a deal was ridiculous.

Hopefully Barney oversees any trades especially an attempt to move Blonda. Barney cannot let Papineau put his hidden agenda into play of going all just to try to secure his job next year if he wins a round or two. Keep this guy under the microscope please. Hopefully Dario can recognize this guy’s intentions.

The only thing we know is that the Wolves are likely not trading Musty. Everything else you see are rumours made up by people who have no clue what they are talking about. If it actually is Papineau's last year and they don't plan to bring him back, why would they give him free rein to do whatever he wants and mortage the future just to try and make himself look good on the way out? That makes no sense.

Big game today, let's not take them lightly and get those 2 pts.

All Dario sees is the ticket revenue from another second-round exit.

Seeing how much Blonda has improved the last month, I think it would be a terrible mistake to move him, by the time he's 18 he'll be one of the elite offensive d-men in the OHL. This is not a case like with Taylor, where he clearly was not going to live up to his draft potential.

Don't see how the colts don't have the east wrapped up. Kudos to North Bay who have set themselves up so well for the future. I remember when folks in this thread earlier this year were questioning why North Bay would want Moses, he showed up, instantly became one of their best players. I suspect Parker Vaughan will do similar.

East likely as was always going to happen is going to either Oshawa, Barrie or Brampton. Brampton and Oshawa likely next to bolster their lineups. Brampton probably too far behind to catch division but likely get home ice

I’m not sure Papineau would truly go all-in if wanting to return. Going out all-out would be expected.

Brampton has their work cut out for them to reach 5th. Sudbury would need to sell significantly and Brantford not buy at all just to reach 6th I think.

What Barrie just did was go all in and did not wait till last minute, that is what a GM gets paid for to make decisions, and act on them and most importantly get the jump. These are the traits you look for and assess when hiring a GM to improve your team going forward. Let’s hope Dario takes note. Kudos to Barrie.

Previously Papineau spoke of creating an organization that was competitive every season... a la London. Keeping this in mind would suggest Papa's will buy but not sell the farm ... That seems to be his approach. I expect a soft buy and argue that he doesn't want to mess up the team chemistry. A fail safe answer. Likely not to anyone's satisfaction.

Sam McCue would be a nice add and probably wouldn’t cost much

I'd rather they not pickup locals at the deadline, everytime they do they disapoint, Zach Giroux, before him Bradley Chenier,
What did you expect from Chenier? Scored at 1.1/ppg for the Wolves in his short time with them, which was the best of his career.

Was injured no?
