We currently have 6x 2nds and 5x 3rds.

We get 1x 2nd and 1x 4th back in the offseason from the Hage trade unless Montreal signs him and sends him back in the off-season.

Mitch Young would be a great target for the Wolves. James Petrovski another good target as well. There's really not that many solid 05 Dman available on the market, so prices will be high. Papineau will have to overpay to land one.. both will be in heavy heavy demand from the buyers around the league. If Papineau plans to buy, the costs are going to be high and there's no way around that this year with all the buyers. Wolves can really make a climb in the standings with this upcoming homestand. Can't take the Petes lightly tomorrow afternoon. Go Wolves Go!

I've watched a decent amount of Petes games this year, would be the first time this year Taylor is motivated I think.

From my angle it could even be wrist injury as well. Hopefully he's okay but it looked ugly the way he went into the boards. Agreed he is a key piece on this team and if he's out for any period of time it will hurt our PK. Clayton and Henderson on the PK this season has been special to watch

Yes and save for the lopsided loss in Barrie most of the games were close and the Wolves have been uber competitive. Should have definitely won the Oshawa game. Watching them outplay Barrie in their own building Thursday cinched it for me and there’s no way I’d go for a hard sell. We fans have been starving for some quality playoff action for too long and I believe this group could provide that with some tweaks. Not to mention I believe they’ve earned the chance. Being strategic about some moves will be key. I think it’s fair to say the Musty situation is the biggest factor at this point.

Shoulda of been reviewed but I think the fact he wasn't laying on the ice they handled it the way they did.

Musty will be playing with villy and molnar whenever he is back no timeline for that yet. The other 3 yep, if they a buying they are all likely gone. They have the most value of our players to move.

If they want to contender definitely need to fix a few things. Molnar can't be in the top 6 at his current production, Eweles can't be in the top 4 either. Lot's of work to do in the next few days.

Wanting to buy, having the piece another team wants, willingness to pay the price, and the player wanting to play for the wolves; are all very different things. The wolves might not be able to be a true buyer.
We shall see what the wolves can acquire for defencemen. Gibson and Andonovski do not seem to be an option.
If the posted word of it being Papineau’s end with the wolves is true, he should want to empty the vault. Go get Luchanko, and see if teams like NB and Sarnia will part with ‘05 D that are probably planned on being with their teams as OAs.

I didn't include him in my initial roster because he is not likely to be playing on Friday night. He stays he's on second line.

It has been reported that he is trying to buy, if he is trying to buy he needs to be using his strongest assets to be doing so. Luchanko likely goes for atleast one of the 3 (Blonda, Jackson, Chitironi) plus picks, he is the next best available as Romani has been linked to Oshawa along with Gibson, Pinelli linked to Windsor and Barrie.

Like you said will have to pay extra to get them because likely wanted for their OA years.

Maybe a world you get McCue and Petrovki from OS and Luchanko and Haley from Guelph but that would cost all 3 I mentioned plus most of our picks
