Don’t mistake undisciplined hockey with physical/finishing your checks hockey. Players are holding the opposition accountable for dirty play. Sometimes this passionate play crosses the line, mix in a little immaturity and we do take some bad penalties.
However, please don’t change the style of play for this team.

There are some players who take some really unnecessary penalties. Delic yesterday chirping at the refs, Coughlan with the 3-4 extra shots on a player, Villenueve with the unnescessary slashes away from the puck. Those kind of penalties need to stop. The aggressive penalties for finishing your checks and standing up for teammates or saving a goal against I have zero issue with.

Agreed. When those penalties occur, the offending player usually sits in the middle of the bench for an extended period of time. Last year that never happened…

IMO, get rid of Musty, Villy and Delic. Build around Henderson, Blonda and try to bring in Nemec and Chovan next year. I think Henderson will be a game changer next year. Blonda is showing signs of being elite in the future. Also find a way to get a Russian goalie to be a non-import like London managed to do...

That has to rate as the most ridiculous post of the year, congratulations

Of the contenders in the East, I would say Barrie and Kingston need Musty (scoring winger) the most.
The West is a little harder to figure out..never country London out. Kitchener building for next two years, Windsor next season and Saginaw has no picks. This leaves us with Erie..
Time will tell. There may even be a scenario where Musty stays…and we add to jump into deep end of the pool.
Who knows?

Papineau has to be realistic this time around with offers if any that-come in for Musty. He cannot continuely over value his players and expect a kings ransom and land up with nothing. He must realize that with any other organization he would be on a short leash. If offers are to low then keep him and tweak the lineup that he is quite good at and hope to win one round giving the rookies some playoff experience. Time will tell shortly.

Yikes...IMO the only signs of "Elite" Blonda is showing is if he was to start playing the Wing. Potential Yes but nothing Elite there as a Dman for at least 2-3 yrs. Nemec and Chovan to replace the likes of Musty, Delic and Villy...huh ?

Trade Musty for a good return yes. Villeneuve you trade next year if the team isn't going anywhere and Delic you keep unless you get a ridiculously good offer for him. Like any other good team, Blonda and Henderson have to raise their levels, not have it handed to them. They aren't ready for that quite yet, too many holes in their games.

This organization too, he's on the last year of his contract

As evident by all the other posts this is an unpopular oppinion. I'm not saying you 100% move him, but I'd shop Villeneuve and for the right price they should definitely consider moving him. His offence has regressed a bit from last year, he's taking significantly more dumb penalties. I don't think the wolves are doing much competing this year or next. So if you can get a really good offer for 1.5 seasons of him, you have to consider doing it.

Based on what London just gave up for Allen there is a good chance he ain't going there; for picks they are down to 1x 2nd and 5x 3rds. In total they gave up 2x 2nds, 2x 3rds, 2x 4ths and a 5th plus a 17 year old 4th rd Dman.

Beg to differ Blonda skating is excellent especially outside edges his first pass is top notch and he has the ability to rush the puck. Like any rookie he has lots to learn.l think he has the potential to be a first rounder, reminds me of Ellis.

Would you honestly trust this GM to make a significant trade with a player like Villy, let’s see what he gets for Musty. Wait till next season when hopefully he is gone. He is on the clock now with Musty. That should be interesting to see if he moves him before the 19th when trading is halted

I find biggest issue for Blonda is learning situational awareness. When to pinch and when not to. Has a bad habit of bad timing leaving partners out to dry mainly Jackson who has looked fine considering.

He is still learning but look at the tools he has going forward, this kid will be a stud down the road especially with the coaching

I would entertain an offer for anyone. Sometimes you get an offer you really can’t say no to
