he was right on top of it, he was not out of position, blew it down.
I understand where he was, the broadcast even said it. There are 2 reasons a ref would blow the play dead in a situation like this. 1 they can't see the puck or 2 the puck is covered. The ref as we agree was right on top of the play so didn't lose sight of the puck. That means he thought that Kwachuck has the puck covered and upon review saw the puck wasn't covered and reversed it. That is what I take from what I saw.

It does not matter if the whistle was blown in error or mistake, it's a dead play whether Krawchuk has it covered or not.

anyways team got a point out of this, great first period, and hung in rest the way. Krawchuck had another good game.
Yep, chucky is the only reason we didn't blow the game completely in regulation

Unless it's an imminent scoring chance, ie if we knock our net off and the puck goes though the normal position on the net on an imminent shot the goal counts.

Let's go through this again.

They ref rules initially no goal.
All the refs huddled by the box and without reviewing the play Wilmont again waived off the goal.
As that was happening the ref upstairs was calling down.
While Wilmont was having his conversation with Williamson the other ref was on the phone upstairs and Wilmont was called over and then they reviewed it.

I would love to see the overhead view with the sounds of the whistle t
