I may be slightly exaggerating but only slightly. Anywhere he wants to go is not in a position to make a value offer or maybe any kind of offer until January. Agent handled this situation badly and totally misread the market.

I'm still waiting for you to tell me an offer that you would accept. I'll even give you some help. Western Conference contenders which there are maybe only 3 legitimate ones.

Already posted what I though was acceptable; maybe, you just didn’t like it.

Jets fan dropping by to get some feedback on Walton. His production has been encouraging this season and some of the highlights and shift-by-shift videos show quite a bit of skill and smarts.

Jets' fans are encouraged, especially considering he was a late 6th round pick in the 2024 NHL entry draft.

How has his development progressed this season compared to previous seasons? What are areas of strength and weakness?

He was a steal where he was picked. His biggest weakness is he does not play with the physicality you'd expect a player his size to have. He does however use his reach to great effect, both with his incredibly puck handling, as well as his ability to strip pucks from the opponent. He's obviously still a massive project pick, but he could develop into a good bottom 6 option who provides some offence at the NHL level.

Offensively he has taken a large step forward compared to last season - partly as he is now playing consistent 1st line minutes compared to 3rd line last year. Everything he touches seems to be turning to gold. I wouldn't be surprised if he slows down but time will tell.

Strengths:
- Size/reach
- Hands
- Shot
- Skating (he's an average skater, but considering his size, he's good)
- Discipline (little to no penalties)

Weaknesses:
- Defensive play (very nonchalant)
- Doesn't use his body (both in terms of hitting & outmuscling other players)
- Needs to drive the net; plays around the perimeter
- Not necessarily a weakness but he doesn't have any mean streak (not his personality)

He's currently my favourite player to watch on the team - just a very unique blend of size and skill.

If this is a late hit, Coughlan and Street would be ejected from the OHL by now if we're being honest.

whatever, Coughlan has the puck on his stick on far side of middle of ice when check is delivered. I call that late…Interference nothing more. Clean hit but LATE!

Why? And for who? If Papineau would have traded him for a 4th line 17 year old and a 4th round pick you would have been all over him for accepting that.

Musty is still tradeable and still for a much better price then what was being offered before he came back. I feel bad for Musty as, for the most part, he was doing what he needed to do to help the team and make himself a better 200 ft player.

The temptation would have been there but the right move was always to trade Musty. Not enough depth especially on the blueline to make any noise. Aside from Villeneuve and Walton, this team is not going to be good next year so some holes need to be filled
You don’t like the look of some of the younger guys? They could take a step forward.
