Get as much as you can out of Musty, and trade him after the WJC. Hopefully a bidding war erupts for him.

This team is good enough without him to lock down a playoff spot, and get the younger players some experience.

Go for it in 2 years from now. They missed their window last year when the East was open. Unfortunately Paps tip toed at the deadline instead of going all in.

Yep build through this draft and the next, moving villy and Walton next season. Maybe even get something for O'Dell the way he is looking so far next season as well. Then use the 2027 stock we have to help bolster the team for a 2-3 year window.

I keep seeing people saying go get players to make the top 6 better and it's frustrating. We came in to the season expecting to be 6-8 nothing has changed other than a slow start by Brampton.

We can't sell our future on a hope and a prayer this season. Keep status quo, trade Musty in a few weeks or sooner.
Why you so frustrated ? Dont take things personal. It's a discussion board for folks like you and I and others, to voice our opinions, and ideas, on this forum. The Wolves management will do what they will do and life will go on. That's it, that's all.

I'll be honest, if the price is right, they'd be smart to consider moving Villeneuve this year, he's the exact type of player someone would really overpay for 1.5 seasons of. I love his game most of the time, but he's really stagnated, I expected him to take a big step forward this year and it just has not happened.

If the price is right for sure.

Hopefully he picks it up though soon.

Wolves will move Musty and possibly an OA. If they get a couple of younger players and picks back I would do a soft buy afterwards. Nothing earth shattering but guys that will add some depth and compensate for some of the youth left behind. Add an overage left behind for cheap and another 19 year old and let the chips fall where they do. Get some playoff experience and then next year we bring in hopefully two quality imports in Nemac and Chovan to go with the returning group and draft picks. A deal or two early in the season and the Wolves should make a run in 2025-26

Bad call on street
As stated in a previous post after last nights game, too many odd many rushes of late. Going back two games ago against Guelph and then with Niagara.
2nd goal was from a 3 on 2, 3rd goal O’Dell and Pharand got confused on coverage leading to Griffen being wide open for an open slot shot/goal on Chucky.
Good teams like Gens can’t get odd man rushes forwards need to support better…

So for us to go all in again we need an ENGAGED and wanting to stay Musty, potentially 2 forwards a defenseman and a number one goalie. I don't think we have the assets for all of that.

All this besides the fact that we haven't played many of the contenders yet other than the colts who have beat us every time and blown us out as did Kingston.

Tomorrow or well tonight now I suppose is our first game against Oshawa one of the projected top contenders. Followed by 2 more against the colts and haven't faced Brampton yet.

Not saying we couldn't luck into home ice, just that this team hasn't had a real test yet it's alittle early to be thinking about committing what assets we do have for quarter of our team. We are talking about likely moving Blonda, Chitironi, Jackson, Bruce, Marshall and whatever picks we do have.
Only our GM would be stupid enough to go all in and move Blonda, so you could be on track

Many great chances but Villi has to learn to score with all the great chances he gets. Goaltending is stellar at both ends.

Impressive! Total gut check, high character, no quit in last 2 periods. With QM#27 out this team took over the last two periods. Somehow this loss feels like a win. If you weren’t convinced before tonight’s game, Chucky has arrived!!
Oshawa Announcers are very good but their so called elite top 6 were no where to be found in last 2 periods. Total Homers. At least NB announcers would acknowledge the work ethic and heart of the Wolves players.
If Oster wasn’t in net, we win this game hands down..
