2 penalties for Clayton, 2 for Villeneuve, one for Coughlan, same thing every game. Another no-show for Molnar, Trade deadline can't come soon enough, team needs some change, coaches need to re-evaluate some of these players.

Not the prettiest game, but a big 2 pts nonetheless, especially after the disallowed goal. What a player Walton is, he is unstoppable in open ice. Happy New Year! 🎉
Walton continues to be worth the price of admission on his own. Long time since I remember a wolves player improving this much from one year to the next. He's one of the elite players in the OHL at only 18.

I guess the Steelheads staff are a bit bitter, no star for Walton

Ugly win. Take it and get on the bus as quick as you can. Paps needs to add some depth to this line up. There a few guys getting way too much ice time and and the top guys can't sustain that much the rest of the way. Chitaroni, Jackson, Digi, Street, Marshall and Molnar had their struggles today. That's way too many guys in a line up not showing up.

WJ

Note: Barrie gets away with goaltender interference a month ago in a review in OT. Sudbury today on the other end gets the goal called back. Almost similar in the way the goalie was interfered with. Sudbury gets no love at all in these reviews. Clayton gets head checked from Lefeveve and the review goes Bramptons way again. These refs are hard to stomach!

Will be interesting to see what moves if any are done before the trade deadline. Last season we were in first in our division at the the deadline and ended in fifth. hopefully history does not repeat itself.

Big 2pts today that bumps us ahead of the Fronts. Not as clean as the Kitchener game but in the end the boys showed some resilience and pulled it out.
Besides being really good on Special Teams another aspect of our game that deserves some praise is our faceoff wins. If someone has the stats I’m sure we are in the upper echelons of the league.
Congrats Wolfers.
Happy New Years HFBoard followers and all OHL fans, all the best in the New Year.

Marshall had a rough day at the office but the Wolves won! We'll take that.

Hopefully they put Chucky in net against the Colts tonight and the Petes on Sunday. I say let Marshall regroup against the Batallion on Friday. We've managed to beat them 3/4 times this season, which is always good to see.

His track record of late has been pretty spot on - time will tell though
Not saying what he said is right or wrong, just saying he is someone who consistently goes out of his way to try and make the Wolves look bad with unsubstantiated rumours. Personally, I have no idea which way management will go at this point, but neither direction would surprise me to be honest. Should be an interesting week..

Wolves reportedly trying to be buyers at the trade deadline as per OHL4Life in the Buyers & Sellers thread

Papineau is looking into both options trying to figure out the market. If the decision is to buy, its likely coming from the top. Unless Musty has told the Wolves he wants to stay, it makes no sense to buy especially in a sellers market

Even if we are sellers, I feel that we need to upgrade our backup goalie regardless. Although I realize now that even backups don't come cheap.
