Vanvleet on last goal was poor effort in stopping OS entry in the zone, clean shot in slot, can't fault Vondras on that one.

Goaltending lost the game. Plain and simple.
From the players reactions heading back to the bench after that goal that took Krawchuk out, they were deflated. You can’t win if you’re losing from within. Brutal.

P.S.: Musty was off the ice as soon as the buzzer rang. Didn’t go back to the team. Just left.

You would think they'd be used to goaltending like this by now.

Wolves really played well enough for the win however were let down by goaltending. Yes we had lots of turnovers but so did Owen Sound. We just needed the saves on 3 simple shots to the net. That was the difference. I was really hoping better for Krawchuck in the third but this team needs to get goaltending period.

Best thing for the future of this organization would be to go out in 4 come playoffs and maybe our Gm will quit. Give Signoretti Waltons ice time and Mauro Giroux's ice time and try one of them in net. Dario, for God's sake, talk to someone have them explain to you what could have been.

Krawchuk isn’t the savior. Unless Ken is playing some epic level possum, this team is cooked and needs a full house cleaning. Bring in a new regime, sell everything you can next year and hope for a good team if and when we get a new barn. These guys are nowhere near ohl level coaching and team management.

The 4th goal from behind the goal line is bad and is in the forefront of everyone’s memory. But Barlow goal 16 seconds into game can’t happen. Can’t have a player with talent behind both our D when we don’t have a clean exit from zone (turn over inside our blue line/common theme). Barlow 2nd goal seam pass for one timer on PP (pass shouldn’t get thru seam but great goal by great player can’t blame Chucky. Barlow hat trick goal odd man rush with no back pressure and we give up blue line with no gap control and shot from top of circle with some pepper on it (should have been saved/but shot can’t happen). 6th goal #88 and #13 go to bench as puck crosses our blue line giving an odd man rush and open slot shot leading to goal. #13 realizes when at bench and doesn’t change but attempts to get back but too late.
Ok, here it goes, I’m going to put my broken record back on the turntable. Perhaps unfortunate goals that should have been saves contributed to our loss today, BUT: lack of commitment to D in our own end is the ROOT cause of today’s loss.

3-7 in last 10. Only wins against bottom 5 league teams (and the Windsor game was no beauty). I guess coaching a team and improving on play over a season is important if you want to win a championship. But in Sudbury, we are too dumb to understand such difficult sports management issues.

If they are trying to correct these issues because it’s been happening for sometime now would you say the players IQ is the problem? What is it? A combination of coaching, lack of effort, lack of hockey IQ, lack of goaltending. I believe it’s all of the above. So with that being said a long playoff run is not in our favour or future. Just too much to overcome.

It's coaching and nothing else, as far as I'm concerned. When the same problems exist on every single player on the roster, including 7 NHL draft picks, 2 2024 prospects, and another 7 who were at NHL camps, I don't think the problem is in the players.

I mean I’m surprised anyone is surprised, when was the last time he coached? before Derek m popped into his lap, he hired duncanson.

I'm a long time reader, first time poster. Yes Chucky let a few in he wants back, the 2 long shots definitely, the 5th one its does look bad but as a guy who follows goaltending, goalie coaches are telling their goalies to be in that position on the post, i don't agree with it all the time but most goalie coaches are telling their goalies to do that.

The team defence is atrocious and yes Chucky should've had a few but what do you expect from the poor kid. Yesterday was his first start in over 2 months then they expect him to shut the door back to back. The team should'Ve been playing the kid from the start but I can't put it all on him, hard to get better when don't get playing time at all.

The Coughlin play was pure bonehead, no need for that. He knows the team is short on players and I know he is suppose to play with an edge but that was stupid and hurt this team. Kenny says its the 3rd game in 2 and a half days, short staffed, pulling out every excuse in the paper. Tired of his excuses, team is skilled, kids are in good shape, want to be a good team than hold them accountable and yourself, no more excuses, everyone in the organization has to be better. Still am Hopeful they can all get on track and on the same page sooner rather than later

But but you'll save a shit load of $$$$ when their out in the first round.

Its very hard to win with bad goaltending especially in the playoffs.
