Subban

Wow... An horrible game ? All I saw was an horrible third.

We were outplayed but it's more Ottawa that played really well then the Habs that played really bad.

Overall the Sens deserved that win and the only thing ugly about the Habs game came after the third goal.

And let me remember you that we were going for the win at the beginning of the third.

In 2 minutes we were controlling the play and had two really good scoring chances.

We were outplayed but not in a large way until that third goal.

After that... Yeah we played an horrible game.

After that it was a softies and defensive breakdowns (both share equal blame) parade after a very strong game from Price. But if you could feel the pulse of that game, it was clearly evident that we were not going to win it from the second half of second period where I believe they rained down shots on us after only recording a single one, Price really kept us in it but they ended up breaking down his fortress.

The slugfest after that is pretty irrelevant. But one begs the question, what the hell were we thinking exactly. Was it a statement? I mean I'm really glad we initiated for once at least.

Which brings me to Turris and Subban again, but this time I'll analyze it from the other perspective: Turris'. He was feeling very good about himself, leading to him thinking that he can poke the black stallion without getting the hooves. Well now he knows.

Subban fed it to him, bad.

Those saying Subban suckered him... Not entirely accurate, clearly Turris just thought he was going to be able to poke the bear and nothing would come of it. Like you said, now he knows better.

Subban plays with passion, heart, great skill, and even dropped the gloves to give a guy a pounding and yet you're picking on him? Sheesh.

I stopped reading this thread when I got to your post.

I wanted to tell you that you are spot on and Subban is the least of our worries going forward in the playoffs against Ottawa.

Subban is worth more to the Habs on the Ice.. not in the Penalty box....

It was over. How many goals do you think Subban would have scored or assisted in the last 12 mins of the game, it already being 1-5? Because no one else sure as hell wasn't going to do anything.

I just thought he tried to do to much by himself...

I don't think so. I hear a lot of people saying this, what is it based on besides the perception that he reverted back to last year's Subban (which was pretty damn awesome) that is false anyway?

The more I see of PK the more I like him.

CBC wants us to believe that this is a major development in the "Flashy Black Guy Isn't a True Hockey Teammate" narrative they want to run with, blithely believing their own PR department that it's not racism, and that if their lad was from northern Ontario and played and acted the exact same way they would be telling us the same story. Bull. This is the same ***** women dealt (still deal) with in the workplace. A guy who's aggresive is a leader and has ambition but the woman is a b*tch. If PK was white as the driven snow from Lloydminster the only thing CBC would be telling us is about his leadership skills and how bad he wants to win and his love of the game and his exuberance....

Thanks for "enlightening" all of us with your silly, cliched lefty world view:laugh:

Subban got emotional and chirped at a teammate in full view of cameras. He got criticized (rightfully) for doing so. When one behaves like an idiot, then one should get called out for it. Even if he's black and it offends types like you:laugh:

I just thought he tried to do to much by himself...

Fans are very oblivious to what happens during games.
PK is a target in every game. Any time they have a chance to get at him, they will. You think they tell each other pleasantries on the ice? How many little slashes or crosschecks do you think people get away with on PK? How many insults do you think he receives?? Now the team was getting destroyed both on the score sheet and physically. PK received a crosscheck to the face early in the first, and now Turris gives him another one and tries to rough up PK.
PK had every right to try to KO Turris. Screw him. And no, PK didn't try to do too much by himself. Nobody did anything.

If a guy hacks at me, punches, and skates off after a few dirty plays overf the course of the game, Ive lost it too, game was already out of reach, he sent a message.

If it was someone else, no big deal. But its PK " mr selfish team cancer turtle " Subban. So no mtter what he does, its wrong.

He was off his game last night, refocus and he can be a killer

Ottawa should keep poking that bear if it gets PK tossed from the game though.

Too good of a player to do that though probably maybe. But yeah, if the Sens can get Subban off his game enough in the remaining 4 games of the series, our chances of advancing increase big time.

Hope he doesn't go crazy too much more though - it's much more fun to watch him play his best game.

Ottawa had nothing to do with PK being mad aside from when Turris crosschecked him in the head, he should have known better than to act pretend tough.

Except a Hawks fan pointed out that P. Kane and Toews yell at each other all the time, yet EVERYBODY knows how great Toews is as a leader. God forbid he wasn't being an emotional leader, unlike Subban the locker room cancer.

Not saying it's racism because it would be too easy, but there's definitly some kind of bias towards Subban.

Sometimes players need to get yelled by there teammates and not the coaches, I think what subban did was very justified, as well as his anger and frustration at the end.

PK is very smart, he picked his time to do what he did and it didn't hurt the team. This wasn't the first slash or cross check he has received this series. He'll be ready to play tomorrow. As many have said, this is the least of our worries.

It's actually what a leader does, and it's also what he himself said that's what he's trying to become..

But the media and fans like to think that PK is this selfish bad guy so instead of painting it as good leadership, they choose the ''ooohh PK is being immature and selfish again yelling at a teammate''. It's always crap with PK.

just my two cents, but the common theme that bothered a lot of people is not that subban fought turris -- turris did give him an extra shot after the whistle. it's what happened when both were on the ice and the official was between them.

Oh so if you received a suicidal pass like this, and got hit hard like that you wouldn't be mad ?! Fans these days :shakehead :help:

This is true, but to add to the point, the entire team had a first row view of what can happen when you suicide pass your teammate. You'd think they'd be on their toes and doing their best to avoid stupid passes. Patches got what he deserved. If it was Gorges, he'd be hailed as this great captain material leader.

Maybe you should be bothered by what the sens are doing to our players more than what our players are doing to the sens. Just saying.

Fact is Subban got a lot of ridiculous abuse in that game. Cheap shots, slashes, blindside hits, cross check to the face. I really don't care that Turris got a few extra punches while on the ice. I'm pretty sure Turris is just fine anyway, not that I care because he's a little ***** who acts tough with his stick when the score is out of reach and he doesn't deserve any respect whatsoever. Glad PK showed him.

I hope Subban comes out tonight and plays like a possible Norris winner. I want him focusing all his considerable energy on doing his job to help the Habs win, no matter what the Sens do. I know every player loses it sometimes, and Subban was definitely provoked. But if he can show that he can bounce right back and focus on his own game, that'll be a great message from him. That's what I'm hoping to see. I'll be tough, though, with the Sens knowing where his breaking point is. He's too valuable to allow them in his head. I think he's better than that.

I also hope the officials call any early cheap shots. On both sides. I don't want tonight turning into another roughing match because the Habs don't do well in those, as we've seen.
