I have my issues with Quinn, and yes, some weird coaches end up there simply because of contractual obligations with the NHL. You can't work once every four years and make a living.

If any coach were available, every coach would be lined up. It's the God damn Olympics.

I take issue with you calling the Stanley Cup a higher level. As much as we all love the Stanley Cup Playoffs, 80% of the guys there wouldn't even get invited to the Olympics.

It is a good sign that the team has responded positively and has played harder since Reaves went down. Remember last year when we played the Isles, came out swinging, and after Trouba went down we played limp soft? Big difference there

I think it's bad value and disappointing for us. There's little avoiding that; we just didn't get good return on our dollar.

Blais, however, is going to be an immediate favorite and contributes to a much better, tougher bottom six that can actually play. Very happy we got Blais. Just not happy this was how we got him.

The over reactions in here are pretty amazing.

The return is underwhelming. The roster is still moving in the exact direction we expected/wanted. We knew Buch was going. We just didn't know if it would be a package for a center or for futures to make cap space. Turns out, it was the latter, but we got bad value on the futures. Doesn't change the fact that we knew Buch wouldn't be on our wing this year. Blais will be a great bottom six guy for us. The 2nd is underwhelming. A 1st and no one is complaining. The "I don't wanna watch Drury's Rangers" posts are silly. I expect we're a better team this year. If you're here posting in late July, you're definitely going to be here next March when we're sitting in a playoff spot.

Well there is also Norris defenseman, Panarin who is elite superstar in league and Mika on that PP shooting/passing, so basicly you only need to stand there

I don't think he's very important. Don't wish him anything bad, but he's one of the least valuable Rangers.

Having a tough guy that can play that has your back on the ice has a big factor for players who are not normally players that play with some snarl. Him being there allows them to do so. Each teammate is able to stand a little taller and be more physical.
