If you think Jones, who was in the AHL before the trade deadline, is coming in over an NHL veteran with over 1000 games and multiple 30 and 40 goal seasons- well I have no idea what to tell you

Oilers going with a 11-7 line-up to facilitate Ekholm's return may become a reasonable option for Game 5, if he's cleared soon.

I'd worry a bit about the thought of going 11 forwards when Dallas are likely to bring a dirty elimination game and its most likely forwards getting hurt. Like today.

The D are all playing a front facing game at any time possible meaning they see the hits coming. The Forwards are getting submarined, charged, smashed into boards. In the way we play the forwards are more susceptible.

Plus that with our D even if we went down to 5 they could all play the minutes.

We've already seen from game 1 against LA that Skinner is above Jones on the depth chart.

Like I said earlier, we're going to need to find some secondary scoring with Brown and Hyman out of the lineup. Skinner is our best bet.

Way better than those fairweather bitches in Florida who I bet you have a fanbase of a majority that couldn't name 5 players on their team without having to google. What does any of that have to do with the type of hockey thats being played in this series? I’m not suggesting Jones is going to score goals in this series, he isn’t. What I think he can bring is a physical presence and help prevent goals against. I’m certain Skinner can’t bring that and I’m not convinced he’s tough enough or strong enough to get himself into position to score against Dallas.
